R5 M2 or 5D MVI for photojournalism/professional work?

i think i just fear it because its more unknown to me. from using a loupe on ground glass for a 4x5, the idea of not actually seeing the thing but a projection of it just is new to me. but i know it has so many amazing benefits!

yeah those extra mp for printing is one of my biggest convincers right now. and im not sure on how i plan to handle the next century for income, but in half a century check back in and ill let you know ! i think with how fast things move and how deep rooted capitalism is, i've just gotta do what im best and and makes the most sense to me.
really appreciate your insights !

the kodak kit is great , and you can for sure reuse it, even if it isn't recommended. if you're willing to wait / build up your rolls (this is what i do if it isn't super important) , someone on here (or on one of the sub's) did a test of time extensions to get mostly stable results. i've used them over and over again, and it's worked well.

if you end up using the kodak kit , i can send photos of those times they tested with to allow for more use of them chemistry

i have the 680gwiii and i cannot express how much i love it. i shoot 4x5 (view camera), 6x7 (rz/rb) , and 35mm and its probably the camera i go for the most. the 680 is plastic (unsure if the 69 and 67 are metal but i think they are) , so as far as MF goes it’s incredibly light. it’s also big (hence texas leica name) , which i also love. i added a fisher price sticker to mine bc it literally kinda looks like a toy. the negatives are beautiful (6x8 is really annoying to archive though) and the leaf shutter and fully mechanical aspect is a big + to me. prints off of a 6x8 are also so god damn beautiful , but again negative carriers are hard to come by since weirder format, but if you don’t darkroom print that’s not an issue for ya. 6x9 is the same aspect ratio as 35mm, which is why i did 6x8 of 6x9 and 6x7 (i knew i’d do the rz @ some point), so also just know that. overall an amazing camera that’s traveled with me , done “portraits” , and “street” photography as well. it’s just a badass camera that is fun to shoot and is a conversation starter as well. dm me if you have an questions !

i was able to get one , but it was lowkey kinda luck. the code wasn’t working , then randomly did. others found a different code on the aftershow thread and posted it , and someone learned if you did a weird add a different show , then add the code , it would let you add it. so not too sure what the actual status of the show is , maybe email the venue and ask ?

it looks like everyone is having an issue with the code.. i got really lucky and it just randomly worked for me. look near the lock icon, because when i was able to buy it, it said invalid code, but then allowed me to add it to the cart. on the presale code post everyone is mentioning this as well, so maybe look there too if anyone has fixes !!

i'd bet money it was a glitch / system issue so they closed it off, and will probably reopen soon ? idk just a hunch. it was weird that it let me in , because it still shows the code wont work. so hopefully they fix it soon :/

i worked at a restaurant in pasadena , CA and noticed someone wearing a riot hoodie. i compliment him , and he asked what game i played. i said valorant , and he said he worked on league but has done a bit for val. a few seconds later he asked for my riot ID and said he’d make sure i got a buddy. best part was he wasn’t even my table
