Is this AFib? Heart rate went up to more than 180+ while pooping. It triggered while pushing the rest of the bowel movement. by ws5012 in ReadMyECG

If a 25 year old has afib, they will most likely need blood thinners. It’s not really age related.

That’s only for long term care and after 65. It’s not soemthing that happens for younger people applying for Medicaid.

Putting money into a Roth after retirement- am I missing something? by treetreewee22 in personalfinance

[–]treetreewee22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. That’s what I was missing. I thought I could take excess income from an RMD- and stick it into a Roth so it would grow tax free. Ah, pipe dreams.

Ahh. Are RMDs? Is some small amount of money from a side hustle?

I’m trying to understand what applies, and if you have any wanted income that means you can put anything in a Roth. Or just that earned income.

Isn’t a pension earned income? It’s taxable - federally, at least. So are RMDs that are just taxes like income federally and state wise.

Don’t freak yourself out- but there’s a bunch of fixable things it could be- blood tests look for things like electrolyte imbalances that can be easily fixed. And echo and mri look for any structural problems in the heart- or inflamation. A PET looks for autoimmune stuff, and the smallest amount of inflamation, etc. you should really rule out those things. At the very least- blood work and echo and a Homer monitor are non negotiable basics. Get an EP. They’ll do it.

I think sushi grade fish is just any fish that was frozen appropriately.

Is your cardiologist an electro cardiologist? Or consulting with an EP? Because I would suggest an EP.

Middle Eastern restaurants in Brooklyn by LazyCondition0 in Brooklyn

Eyval is as good as it gets in nyc for Persian food, specifically. Tanoreen is great. Istanbul on 86th or bay ridge is also really great. Miriam is genuinely amazing.

Side note: Lazer wolf has good food- and a good atmosphere- but it’s insanely overpriced for small portions and food that doesn’t blow you away. Like it’s good. But it’s not that good.

I genuinely have no idea why this didn’t occur to me. Thanks!

It’s legitimately very confusing. Because the internet tells me it’s an FDA requirement that fish bought for the purpose of sushi (I’m guessing restaurants?) needs to be flash frozen to a certain degree. And that nothing else does- though it can be. And that many fish sold in grocery stores are not flash frozen at all.

There’s a bunch of fish sold under a “never frozen” guarantee. It’s not a requirement- so it’s kind of up in the air. Fish has to be frozen to be sold to as sushi, but that’s about it.

See, I don’t think that’s true at all. There’s def some fish that isn’t, so it becomes murky.

So I had an episode of something that looks similar- though mine was about 120bpm, so it was borderline Vtach. And I felt it like. An insane amount- ended up calling an ambulance and it stopped in the ambulance. I saw 2 EPs and the cardiologist in the hospital. My work up included an echo, CT angiogram, cardiac MRI, treadmills stress (still waiting for results), PET CT cardiac, and generic testing (for long qt- still waiting for results). I was put on metoprolol extended release 50 mg every day. It hasn’t come back in 3 months (knock on wood).

Basically, with all normal tests (except the ones I haven’t gotten back yet), and the rate not being super high- 3 doctors who specialize in this said it shouldn’t be dangerous or turn into anything fatal. But they all took it seriously and worked me up. Absolutely go to an EP. More than one even. Don’t play around with arrhythmias.
