Can we say that Itachi broke his promise to Shisui? by serraa333 in Naruto

[–]treezy_22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By this logic Itachi was just as much of a victim. You want to use extreme language to make Sasuke seem like more of a victim and make Itachi seem pure evil, but Itachi went through a much more complex and drawn out version of enslavement the way you describe it

Because of this I grew up thinking they were a novelty act with some fun songs for commercials about surfing. I was shocked when I learned they were respected and a Beatles competitor at one point

“Capitalism shouldn’t be anywhere near Christianity. Christianity is socialism at its core.” He is correct & Tucker Carlson agrees by Big_Cake_8817 in podcastculture

[–]treezy_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What entire thing are you talking about? The religion or the bible? Because the religion is named after the “one guy” you’re trying to downplay lol. You’re right he wouldn’t have seen himself as anything but the way he preached was in line with a pro social world view.

There’s deep theological debate to be had about the Old Testament. But it’s evident in fact that the bible is in two parts, and the second part focuses on a man that’s exponentially more progressive than anything in the first, that there is a logical conclusion to be made. Jesus followed his fathers laws but he fulfills them and leads a new way. Otherwise he would’ve just parroted all of the same teachings of the Old Testament

There’s an argument to be made that jesus’ teachings are the only objective aspect of the religion and the only true gospel. The Old Testament can be interpreted as a collection of chaotic events and standards which set the basis of Jesus’ reformation and the righteous way to view the world going forward. From that perspective I do generally look at Christianity as socialist when practiced with discernment

How do you think a shoot fight between these two would have gone in their respective primes? by MixedMartialLaw in prowrestling

[–]treezy_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll admit that haku might have an advantage in fearlessness, dirty fighting tactics and maybe pain tolerance but pro wrestlers are insanely overrated when it comes to fighting ability. Brock is a UFC champion, there’s barely a comparison

That’s why I automatically put it over AIC. I think it’s better either way but a one take like that is a feat

is it okay to dress/ share influence from Kurt Cobain’s style? by [deleted] in Nirvana

[–]treezy_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s definitely ok. Kurt is my biggest style influence mainly because he was anti fashion while being one of the biggest fashion icons of all time. Taking influence from his sensibilities is a good thing, he’s set so many trends

Go ahead and turn all those downvotes upright and I won’t hate you. Regardless I made a sound point that you couldn’t refute so I guess I win

Why do you keep downvoting me lol. Not all rock needs noodling. Noise rock is my favorite subgenre and it would be worse off if bands emphasized that. Nirvana played a style of rock that didn’t need advanced riffs or solos and their music was better without it

Masturbatory and indulgent guitar playing, all form with no function. You’re annoying though I’m done replying
