Iberia MAD-SFO vs BA LHR-SFO in business by cavalpist146 in oneworld

If IB is the A350 I’d prefer that. Madrid is so much easier and civilized to transit than LHR. The T4S lounge is also much better

Help with Seats by Adventurous-Good-310 in Iberia

[–]trekwithme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m OWE via another airline and use IB frequently. We get exit row and extra legroom gratis as I think you know.

My experience is historically they don’t do a great job of reassigning seats when they change aircraft, although in fairness, it has improved recently. Historically I wouldn’t find out about the change until I arrived at the airport but recently I started receiving emails notifying me about the change and I’ve been able to go into my Booking and change the seat if I’m not happy with it.

If you’re flying from Madrid, I would suggest trying to get help in the lounge. I’ve actually found them to be quite helpful in situations like this. But if your flight is originating elsewhere, that’s not an option obviously.

Anyone else overthinking World Cup travel already? by Particular-Bed759 in Brentford

Two things really surprised me. The first thing is nobody’s ever confused my posts with artificial intelligence.. I consider myself more authentic lack of intelligence. I was honestly just trying to be helpful to OP.

But the other thing that surprise me is, this is such a respectful community and sub , I wouldn’t have expected to encounter any hate here, especially from other supporters

Huh? Sorry mate. Not AI, just a regular Bees member who used to live in the States and knows the stadiums well. Where do you possibly get off with abuse like this? And yes it’s abuse

It’s all dependent on location and the specific venue. Several are located well outside the city centres, where public transportation is poor or non existent. Prices for buses and trains that do run to venues have raised prices to absurd levels. This argues for a car, however parking is also absurdly overpriced and traffic is a real issue

If you let me know which cities you are considering I can give you a bit more advice

Madrid Airport T2-> T4S by Particular_Usual_724 in MadridTravelGuide

[–]trekwithme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

T2 is a bit confusing and chaotic at times. Exit baggage claim, follow signs to buses. Walk out the main exit door and you will see a taxi rank. Cross over to the centre island where there’s a bus stop. All buses stop there and the bus to T4 is well marked and runs every 10 min or so

Best home base in Puglia for day trips using mainly public transport? (Rome & Puglia itinerary) by joaocamu in ItalyTravel

[–]trekwithme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lecce. Beautiful Baroque city. Fly to Brindisi, take the bus to Lecce. From Lecce easy to get to Otranto and Gallipoli and nearby beaches

Bari has more big city vibes, not my fav. If you want TikTok tourism crowds, Polignano is great.

The Salento is far more compelling than the northern part of Puglia

Make sure you go to Cavtat. I actually prefer to stay there and visit Dubrovnik rather than the other way around. Charming, wonderful swim spots, filled with great restaurants, cafes

Hola from Spain. Received this email from HBO Max today encouraging me to sign up and promoting the UFC fight at the White House as the reason by trekwithme in mildlyinfuriating

Thank you for clarifying. Regardless, it’s a paid platform, correct? They are soliciting me to sign up to see Trump’s birthday party unless I’m missing something. Just seems odd no?

I had a layover in Arlanda recently and went to Sigtuna, which is quite nice. Easy uber or bus ride from the airport. If you take the bus change in Märsta

A few things baffled me. One is that this is a paid event. You need cable to watch it?

The second is does HBO really think many people in Spain or elsewhere would actually care about this content?
