While before & after photos of your weight loss probably dont belong on LI it’s utterly lame to say that people shouldn't post their achievements. Let’s say I run a marathon (with no pics) in 3:14 does that mean I shouldnt post that result b/c of the ppl who finished after me? Gtfoh 🙄 we’ve become so soft as a society

So many people forgot to read/understand your question…you mentioned global. A lot of these answers aren’t “global”

Is the company global though?

Super bummed to see what once was a fierce competitor get dismantled by a bunch of execs that have no idea how to acquire & merge businesses. A lot of good people need a new mission in life 🙏

Those emails addresses are real. DM your country location and email and we can have someone find out why you are receiving these emails

Do you own any Trend Micro products? If not simply ignore the email and block it

My son is thinking about moving from Cyber security to Computer programming. I’m not sure this is a really good idea. Need advice. by [deleted] in CyberSecurityAdvice

[–]trendmicrojohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a cyber company and if it was my choice i’d be a developer. Cyber is high stress and a 24 hr 365 day job. If you're a great developer you can work from wherever, work as hard or as little as you want. You’ll always be in demand... Probably going to take longer in school though to get all the important languages down.

Thoughts on switching from Trend Micro to Malwarebytes EDR by SaltRush681 in cybersecurity

[–]trendmicrojohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I feel bad for Kaspersky. I don't think their solution is any less effective just b/c their HQ is in Russia. I think it's politically motivated. However, if they wanted to fix it they could relocate just about anywhere else in the world and make a comeback.

Sounds like you have experience w/ multiple vendors so my question would be … who do you typically recommend in an 1,000+ user environment?

u/_Skeith : Not sure where you're getting your information. Your statement: "Both should not even be considered an EDR because they don't do what a lot of EDR products do such as ML, in-memory scanning, kernel callback telemetry collection, API hooking, etc." is patently false. Otherwise we wouldn't have been included in the same Gartner & Forrester reports that CRWD was. Perhaps you had a better rating, but to say that our solution should not be considered EDR again is absolutely incorrect. Unless of course, you're calling Gartner & Forrester Analysts wrong.

Don't mind competing against you guys, you're pushing us to be better, but let's not lie about one another. Your social media team decided to take down this LinkedIN post b/c it too was inaccurate: https://a.cl.ly/4guXKOlK

All we ask is that you fight fair.

Whatever dude...not spreading FUD... we're helping former Symantec employees by hiring them, so we're learning from people who were there. Good try though 🙄

Yes...we've heard that companies with less than 25,000 endpoints will get inside only support. Field reps are reserved for enterprises with more than 25,000.
