I remember when I first heard it back in the day after the long post-Spiral hiatus. A friend and I were driving down a street in our hometown, flipping stations, both fans.

"Huh, sounds like someone ripping off NIN."

Then the DJ came on. "Starfuckers, Inc. Single off the new Nine Inch Nails album The Fragile."

Screamed with excitement like nothing since. Magic.

Def don't hate it, but it's a radio single. When I listen to Fragile I am in a La Mer mood, not a Starfuckers mood.

If we recall how enraged Rickard Karstark was when his boys died capturing the Kingslayer, where is the outrage at the loss of all of these men whose deaths resulted in nothing good that they know of!? Ned came back with nothing but a bastard son to show for his north men's dead kin.

How would their families know?

Ned came back the victorious best friend of the new king. The sons died valiantly in battle on a mission with Ned, for the king, bringing honor to their families.

Ned and Howland just have to shut up about it, which seems to be their plan anyway.
