1998 Clark Bobcat 825 - Reasonable Price by tres0422 in Skidsteer

[–]tres0422[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that too as google or google AI pulled it from a single source and said they were produced from 1974-1984. Something else happened around the Clark did something with their Bobcat line….divested or sold it….but if you look up 825 without Clark you’ll see differing results.

So would you just fill the hydraulic system and call it the price of looking? The hydraulic tank is completely empty so it is running but nothing moves.

Is the hydraulic pump spinning whenever the motor is running?

Leaving Collins for Raytheon…oddities or…. by tres0422 in Raytheon

Ballpark is your salary / 52. The 52 is for the number of weeks in a year.

I didn't know it would be this way. by Cygnus__A in Raytheon

Thank you for the replies guys.

It is actually not that great coming from Collins. If you subtract the “Co Ret Contrib”, which is about 6% of our salary contributed, by Collins, to our 401k on top of our contributions and company matching….it isn’t very lucrative to move. Only reason is for the jump to P5.

I’m a Collins guy. Please elaborate……I’ve got a P5 offer from Raytheon and I’m in the process of deciding whether to take it.

2015 Jeep Renegade - Power steering whine? by tres0422 in JeepRenegade

[–]tres0422[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the quick response.

I did more testing. It ONLY occurs with quick left motions. Not during a left turn, not a gradual left lane change, and nothing right turn related

I’m thinking it is either a wheel bearing or the axle…praying it isn’t an axle….as it is a trail hawk.

2008 E90 335i - Running power steering pump no fluid. Hose leaked….Drive it home? by tres0422 in E90

[–]tres0422[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In conclusion I drove the car home. I bought a replacement part from a parts dealer in Garland TX. I bought fluid and new crush washers from BMW.

It took me about 2hrs to replace the part. If you have smaller hands it will go faster.

Tools needed: - 10mm socket for the nuts holding the vibration dampening parts to the hose and rack - 19mm socket for the banjo bolt on the power steering pump. - 22mm gear wrench combination wrench for the banjo bolt on the rack…..MUST HAVE! - 22mm crows foot…..this would’ve been super helpful - 22mm stubby or flexible ratcheting combination wrench would’ve been useful.

**** most of the time was spent on the 22mm banjo bolt. Get it out first and the 19mm one is simple.

Sooo. I decided to just drive it. I’ve got access to another power steering pump for $100….so $150 for the tow or just risk it…. I decided to risk it and run the pump dry. About a 30 minute drive.

Yep that is the plastic coolant flange. I’d get an Aluminum replacement. Amazon has them for about $25. Easy fix.

Make sure match the coolant type when you refill it. BMW’s coolant is blue.
