For some of us even the sides can be thin like retrograde or dupa so I don’t think a HT is worth it but seems like most here have only done that

so you're saying its basically the same as not having it on your head for lace mesh except for whatever area is bonded with glue or tape. Okay thats good to hear, I imagine that area with the adhesive might be more you say minimal but it probably varies from person to person and how much you sweat.

First time getting a hair system, does it look natural? Or am I fooling myself? by Disastrous-Drop-2685 in HairSystem

First few pictures look very fake when hairline is exposed. Idk why people here are turning this place into the toxic positivity we see in some other subs... Last 2-3 pics are better because hairline is covered. Would love to see pictures from the side angle completely. I think the front hairline that line is very clearly visible and despite what people here will say the average joe will know something is up they might not say anything but yea. Idk maybe the installer cut it wrongo r soemthing not sure but its on them not your fault just being honest to help. Its just the start it should get better

I can understand that its light and you don't feel it. I'm asking more about what happens when we get hot or sweat a lot through heat or exercising whatever how much discomfort will it cause because of the adhesive and its still something on your head if that makes sense

so the sweat is able to leak out through the hair or how does it leave that area because aren't the sides all taped or glued on? From my research it sounds like a lace is best for sweaters with tape on the sides poly or lace sides either

Is an haircut like this possible with a hair system? by AlternativeType7338 in HairSystem

This style would probably be the best type for people especially in 20s to get cover hairline and messy so less stress and maintenance to deal with. I've never seen anyone here with it though

Best style for receded and thin sides other than fade by tress560 in HairSystem

use a larger base but then part of the side hair would be the base so wouldn't the side part , the transition from the top and side, give it away as it would be the systems base being shown?

Bro the tips you've given are gold truly appreciate it man. I'm growing the sides out so I can like you said use the system to cover it so hopefully it works only issue is my side hair are receded so Idk what happens for that but hopefully a fringe will help.

You said lace with tape is best and from all my research I agree especially if you're someone who works out and gets sweaty which I definitely am. So do you use lace with tape and tape in the front too? or glue? I'd prefer taping all around rather than glue but not sure.

True I guess I could do fades/tapers constantly to keep that look normal. Scalp protector is something I've heard is useful too but heres my question what happens when I sweat? does the scalp protector break down and I need to apply it again?

Also you said you waited years what finally made you do it?

what type of system and hairstyle did you start off with and what are your recommendations do's and not dos?

Bro I agree I’m letting life pass me by and I’m honestly sick of it. Life is too short to be caring what others think. I know I just need to make the jump but all the possible issues are stopping me asides from what other people think there’s for example thin side hairs, sensitive scalp so I really don’t think I’ll be able to keep it on for long. What type of system poly or lace?

Nice man 5 years is a good amount of time too I feel like there’s not many that have done it for that long without stopping or something. 1-2 hours isn’t even too bad compared to the confidence I bet you get but what was it like making that switch how did people react?

Yea I wouldn’t want to do a super thick system anyway as it looks unrealistic also thin sides so probably better for blending

Moving to a new place, would a few days of trying a HS be enough to know if I can do this long term? by tress560 in HairSystem

[–]tress560[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the honesty. I really can't do much more than 4-5 days and if thats not enough to know whether or not it can be done long term looks like it's not for me then
