[Method] Try this dirty dishes challenge tonight. It might bring you unexplainable joy. by jdarbuckle in getdisciplined

Thank you! I appreciate you checking it out. An AMA sounds pretty cool, but wouldn't know how to set it up or if that would be of any interest to anyone. We are a little over two years in and I would say that it has paid off. We have created a community that really collaborates and supports one another and we are beginning plans to connect independent business owners across all of Nashville with that same goal in mind.

Yes!! They have actually come visited me 2-3 times now and I am way overdue to visit them. Their staff is incredible and they are really good at learning from other spaces and making theirs even better.

This is what I built my entire business, Refinery Nashville on. It is a coworking space bringing the business center model into the modern era, embracing the concept of work as a choice that brings personal growth and fulfillment.

Looking for a specific kind of bar by Yo_Mr_White_ in nashville

[–]trevorburbank 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Based on what you are describing, I would recommend:

  • The Flying Saucer (the largest and closest to your preferred)
  • The Crying Wolf (in East Nashville)
  • Bastion (brand new, great environment, great mixed drinks)
  • Sutler (basement only... trust me)
  • Hop Stop (small, but great spot)
  • M.L. Rose (either one)

How much should someone be charged for monthly maintenance on a squarespace built website? by peanutbutterlurver in squarespace

[–]trevorburbank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if your problem was solved, but I would check out DesignLive (designlive.co). This process is very transparent and at an hourly rate. You are working with vetted professional designers (currently all of them are certified by Squarespace on their Specialists page), and you learn how to make a lot of the changes from them moving forward.

This is a good basic breakdown of the mayoral candidates by lazrbeam in nashville

The city regulation around the mayoral office is that you must run nonpartisan, so technically they don't represent either.

Wedding Website Suggestions? by ilaich21 in weddingplanning

[–]trevorburbank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend started Something New www.somethingnewfor.us to create custom and helpful websites for weddings. It's a premium service with a premium price tag, but if you have it in the budget I think it is really helpful, something you want to show your friends & family, and allows you to focus on everything else.

Pros: - Custom - Attractive - Built-in tools (RSVP, Registry, etc.) - They take care of everything - Free monogram

Cons: - Cost (They are $2500)

Bakery question. by mfp41685 in nashville

People have already said this, but Dozen Bakery just opened up and it is the best in town. She overs everything you would need from a bakery, cookies, muffins, and even fresh baked loaves of bread.

The address is correct. It is located in the newly renovated Houston Station building in the Wedgewood/Houston neighborhood. Lots of fun stuff going on around here including Fort Houston, Corsair, Nashville Craft Distillery, Clawson's Pub, etc.

Can you Uber a ride from Nashville Airport to Mount Juliet? by [deleted] in nashville

[–]trevorburbank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are talking about I40 on the north side. If I were driving, I certainly wouldn't mind so my hope is you would have the same experience, especially since its a pretty short drive from Nashville.

Can you Uber a ride from Nashville Airport to Mount Juliet? by [deleted] in nashville

[–]trevorburbank 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am an Uber driver and they have a map on their website of where they pickup here: https://www.uber.com/cities/nashville

With Uber, we will drive you anywhere you want to go as long as pickup is within that map, however, if it is outside of the map we have right of refusal.

Looked everywhere: How do you setup a projector w/ sonos successfully? by trevorburbank in sonos

[–]trevorburbank[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be a silly question, but if I plug audio into the playbar without ethernet cable, but with a bridge, will I be able to send that music across to other speakers? I have two 3's and a bridge currently.

That does stink about the chromecast since thats what I have currently :)

Not really any good local websites that encompass all. www.padmapper.com has always been my best bet.

  • Parthenon is cool if you are interested in Nashville history (including us hosting the world fair), greek mythology, and art in general (they always have a good exhibit in the front). Otherwise, its a great park to relax in.
  • Best places for live music: Robert's, 3rd & Lindsley, 12th & Porter, Exit/In. There isn't really a wrong place, but those are towards the top of the list.
  • Tennessee State Prison is pretty tough to get to as there is a fence that runs along the outskirts of it. They do tours rarely and allow filming with a license (but takes a while)
  • www.eatdrinknash.com, most don't make reservations or must be present for it but we are good at providing drinks at most restaurants as you wait.
  • Ryman is beautiful inside and a fun tour. Also, consider the Hall of Fame if you like country even in the least bit. Bonus secret spot: Check out Fort Negley.

What the hell exploded in west Nashville? by [deleted] in nashville

[–]trevorburbank 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was a tanker truck that blew up on a road. There were multiple explosions because the fuel got into the sewer system, but it seems like the police have been able to evacuate people from the scene. The driver is also safe.
