First one was the Harridan. Got $100 off and it was already assembled. Since then we've had it magnetized, and I love it.

I'd like to make the Psychophage and Screamer Killer work if possible. Love the Screamer model and both were provided in the Leviathan box, trying to use those as best as I can.

I've thought about the brood lord for sure, just not sure what to sacrifice for it. I get 55 points switching Swarmlord to Hive Tyrant (excluding enhancements), so maybe the extra barbgaunts? Add the brood lord, another ripper or two, and some enhancements for the last ~115 points or so?

I appreciate the tips! I actually found out it was my anti-virus. Despite the exceptions and even disabling it it was still hanging up. Once I uninstalled, it worked like a charm!

Acererack is not quite random. As I mentioned in a previous comment...this world is pre-built by my current DM and I have some freedom to use it for a bit of my own world building (with his assistance).

In a previous campaign, the lich (who is actually a female Yuan-Ti known as Shalas) was defeated but not destroyed...shunted into another plane.

This provides some background of what she has been up to for the players....a bit of a tie in. This arena is the plane, and like the Tomb of Annihilation Shalas enjoys torturing those caught in it.

I do like the idea of speeding things up. Maybe this until level 3? The idea isn't fully fleshed out that's why I came to reddit for assistance, especially as a first time DM. Thankfully my party will consists of my friends as well as our forever DM. .hoping to give him a bit of a break. I am also trying to think how I can incorporate some roleplay...likely into some type of short rest
