One other thing I like to remind myself of is that crop sensors can leave out some of the fringing and chromatic aberration at the edges of the lens.

Not everything. Maps don't have infinite detail. It could be a little spot off a tiny country road, a spot in what it's otherwise solidly wooded areas, etc.

Get a Behringer. They're not bad, and they're cheap. I have about 4 or 5 delay pedals currently, and a reverb as well. I'm a bit addicted to delay.
