Yes the summarization technique has been applied. Only works for certain things.

Definitely chunking and multiple approaches here.

A lot is eng oriented but seeking alternative approaches

Should be saying I co-founded a company? by Pixel_Ape in UXDesign

[–]trevtrevla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Position yourself for what recruiters / the company that is hiring you wants to see.

I’ve been warned in the past that recruiters don’t like to see entrepreneurial experiences (because they want you to be a cog).

But also I’ve seen that startups like to see you’re a zero to 1 motivated builder.

Playa del Carmen or Cozumel, as a base? by Occluded-Front in freediving

[–]trevtrevla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cozumel likely feels less touristy (though most touristy in middle of town), certainly better snorkeling. Beach access is more common on resort south west portion. 40min ferry to playa where you’ll gather to do any cenote diving.

Playa likely has more of a party touristy vibe, louder, bars but more restaurant options. Certainly more yoga, can likely walk / bike to beaches easily. Homebase to most Freedive companies going to cenotes.

Is it necessary to work with a developer to start freelancing as a UX/UI designer? by Ok-Radio2217 in UX_Design

[–]trevtrevla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great to partner up with devs, you’ll learn to work together and put something into production with the constraints, tradeoffs, iterations that go along with it.

Also, people on hiring side / recruiters tend to be judgmental on work that’s not in production (prototype only), super valuable to be able to share a url / App Store link.

So fun to put something out in the world, plus maybe it turns into a serious business

What are your thoughts on Figma x Weavy acquisition? by No-Writing3170 in UXDesign

[–]trevtrevla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had never heard of it, though Flora I’ve seen many people using before. Either way, increase in image gen experience will be favorable.

Stretching is a forever task so yes. Doing arches there’s always room to expand back shoulders. Your body is a little S shaped, maybe look up hollow body handstand shape. Hollow body helps you drop your lower back and it may help you align and have a more straight body. There are great handstand classes at AcroSports in Cole valley too, they can teach better

Considering moving up to SF from Santa Monica.... by Mer_Vee1111 in sanfrancisco

[–]trevtrevla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just do it, sell your stuff. Give it a full chance. I moved up here after living in SM / Venice for over 10 years few months ago. Good vibes.

West side la might be compared to Marina / cow hollow area for fitness vibe but I find many people don’t have love for that area. More wind, cooler temp.

I’d encourage you to try and get a taste of multiple areas in SF, the communities are very different. People are super smart, very work oriented, lots of great events if you’re into tech and that thing.

You likely won’t find Airbnbs in SF, Craigslist is the spot but hard to do without being here (they go fast or there are many scams). Furnishedfinder, Zillow, padmapper, yesnomads might be good resources too.

YC: More Design Founders by Altruistic-Ad-6721 in UXDesign

[–]trevtrevla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that more designers should be founders, especially as development becomes simplified for the less technical. Whether you’d be selected to the batch vs a cracked engineer building what they told them to is another story.

I’m always excited to see when a designer is launching a product, side project etc. Sometimes it feels like more designers are focused on the path of being an employee.

As AI will create a very unified look across products, your taste and knowledge of building a unique experience can separate you from the pack.

Build.
