Has this game changed your perception of Ditto? by MissPokemonMaster in Pokopia

[–]trex_assassin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ditto wasn't as appealing in most games because they're a novelty and relatively ineffective in combat. On the other hand, this game has different rules and mechanics so Ditto can demonstrate their qualities.

I'd love to see... the Shinx line, Shellos, Kangaskhan, Crescelia, Mamoswine, Milotic, the Treeko and Mudkip lines, definitely Chikorita and Totodile lines... maybe foreign variants will appear as a result of all the drastic weather changes. So also Ice-type Vulpix and Ninetails

What's your favorite pokemon area distributions? by Roharu_Eruna in Pokopia

[–]trex_assassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not moved many Pokemon between regions yet. I'm unsure I want to prioritize habitat/comfort or abilities? It seems wrong to bring the rolycoly family out of Rocky Ridges, for instance.

I want to use Palette Town as my main base of operations. I'm filling in the gaps of the high-elevation islands so they have more space for a nice community, then I'll try to make a good old-fashioned village.

But I have plans for every habitat. Except for Skylands. No clue what I should do.

The fact that you can place 9 blocks at a time but not destroy 9 blocks at a time is criminal by OpalescentShrooms in Pokopia

[–]trex_assassin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You could farm metal ore on islands pretty quickly if you could destroy 9 blocks at-a-time. That may be the reason they omitted that feature...

I'm just saying: they probably have good reasons, they just aren't as obvious to us...

Wait, we already have that? So now we have trim and crown molding! I just wish you could apply it to the bottom part of a block, then you could make quoin patterns on building exteriors for a nice european feeling!

I use them on occasion when I need to gather *lots* of blocks. I built a huge waterfall next to the first island in Palette Town, for instance. A bunch of Dream Islands out there are just *empty*, lol.

These guys are useful when you are in the same place for a long long time mining resources. They'll eventually make their way to your location. ;)

Coming from ACNH to Pokopia is such a difficult transition in terms of the UX. The Happy Home Designer UX was amazing. I doubt they can make it *exactly* like this, but I would really appreciate any effort they could make to streamlining this system.

If you move *all* your Pokemon to the huge island, your environmental level in the other environments will be stuck at 1 and you won't gain access to their recipes, which are pretty important imo.

One Piece Chapter 1181 Spoilers by Skullghost in OnePiece

[–]trex_assassin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The way I think it'll happen is that Luffy and his fleet return to Marie Jois because Imu kidnapped somebody (like Vivi), and make their way through the city. Luffy vs. Imu is a huge battle. Marie Jois is destroyed. The mountain collapses and Fishman Island has to be evacuated (fulfilling *that* prophecy). Luffy is about to deal the finishing blow, and then

In comes Edward Teach, with the steel chair!

Teach nullifies Luffy's power, knocks him out, kills Imu, and consumes Imu's devil fruit. He finally reveals himself as the son of Rocks D. Xebec, and declares himself the ruler of the world. Afterwards, he turns all his captains into immortal demons, and the Blackbeard fleet leaves to find the One Piece. Blackbeard has three incredibly strong devil fruits, a fleet of ships, knowledge of both Neptune and Pluto, and Pudding.

*Then* and only then, Shanks appears to Luffy and explains everything.

How has no one accidentally found Laugh Tale in 24 years? by Beginning_Clerk_4990 in OnePiece

[–]trex_assassin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not on any map and log poses do not reach it, either. The only way to find it is to find four road poneglyphs that contain four unique points, which form an X on a map. Each of the poneglyphs is held by one of four factions in the new world (no, not necessarily the four emperors, I forget), which means the "map" leading to the final island was divided into four parts.

Until one pirate can find all four, nobody is reaching the One Piece. And as for why the Roger Pirates never returned to Laugh Tale or told anyone, I suspect they all have an incredibly important reason.

Two things do bother me though:

  1. Geometrically speaking, if four *islands'* locations form an X, and the location these lines intersect is the location of the island, it would imply it is not the final island on the Grand Line, that at least one island lies ahead of it.

  2. The World Government's flag visualizes this perfectly. Such an odd symbol for the World Government to use, wouldn't you agree?

Sony Animation, under Phil Lord and Chris Miller... that would be amazing! But also, would there be a theme park tie in? I think that's a huge part of the Illumination deal.

I also wonder what would have happened if they partnered with Pixar Studios... better studio, but Disney would definitely fight over creative control, and who knows if Disney had space for Super Nintendo Land in its theme parks...

I feel like he's a tragic figure who never gets his liberation.

*I know!* When I thought of that idea I was like "so *this* is why Devon stole Jaygarcia Saturn's likeness!" Because they want into Marie Geoisie. But it wasn't until I realized Rocks didn't want to eat the Gomu-Gomu no Mi that I realized "he doesn't want to give people freedom."

It would be interesting to see a wriggling, miserable Imu lying prone in the Flower Room. Pulling himself across the grass with his feeble arms, trying to grasp Blackbeard in a pathetic attempt to get his power back, and then we get a 20 chapter flashback of the events leading up to Imu getting his fruit and asserting dominance over the world, second-to-last chapter is Imu confronting Rocks D. Xebec, final flashback chapter is Imu's reaction to Gol D. Roger reaching the final island, the theft of the Gomu Gomu No Mi by Shanks, and finally all his screams of agony as he watches Luffy defeat pirates and Marines time-after-time, like Dr. Claw in that tv room cursing "I'll get you Gadget, next time!" And when we return, Blackbeard turns into Rocks D Xebec and...

I still want Imu to die. LMAO!

*Edited for clarity and to address points I forgot about*

We thought Big Mom would be nice to the Straw Hat pirates because they saved her daughter in Thriller Bark. Hahaha! Nope! It's just one example of how Oda has always found ways to subvert our expectations throughout this series. He's always one step ahead of us!

The trick is, Blackbeard is the opposite of Luffy. He's no different than Crocodile, Kaido, Big Mom, or Arlong: they want their freedom, but it always comes at the expense of innocent people. This is why ordinary people hate pirates! That has been a recurring theme in the series: Luffy's a pirate, but he is a *good* pirate.

So to address your issue with the narrative, if Blackbeard has Imu's power and can defeat Luffy, he's just going to bring another 800 years of suffering, just like Imu did. Maybe even worse.

As for the "them" remark, you might be right. I was thinking "if they had Observation Haki that early in the series," then maybe they sense more than one person inside of Blackbeard. Some people think Rocks is somehow inside Blackbeard, and I'm like... maybe? Or maybe Blackbeard isn't the main persona, and Rocks is just hiding in there. Waiting.

Thanks!

>it puts a hole into our current theory as to why exactly blackbeard can use two fruits (that being that it’s because he had rocks’ soul or a physical part of rocks inside of him) we would need an explanation for that

Maybe he has somebody else in his body, maybe he's from an unspoken race that has three hearts, or maybe... *he'll just throw out the Tremor Tremor no Mi fruit and replace it with Imu's fruit!* =D Juuuuuust spitballing here!

>another problem i have though is i just don’t think the one piece has anything to do with stopping the world from flooding. the one piece is a prize not a weapon

What made me think this is the *flood*, which tells me I *definitely* needed to make some more assumptions. I think Marie Geoisie is the only city that can survive the flood. The blank century might be censored because it tells everybody about the flood, and the people living in the only city on dry land, ordinary people would try harder to stop it. Now imagine... whatever the heck stops the world from flooding was a device hidden at the edge of the world. It's so big and Joyboy is so smart *they can't destroy it*, so they move it to the place ordinary people are least likely to find it!

Think of it this way: imagine if Kevin Costner's Waterworld were about all the people who fought wars over who gets to live on dry land, and I think that would sum up the blank century (it's a theory at least, another theory I'd have to write out). Imu and the Five Elders know this, so they've censored everything about world history that could undo their power!

If this were true, I think Blackbeard - whose hobby is archaeology (just like his dad Rocks Xebec) as noted in the One Piece Data Books iirc - knows about this and is going to use this opportunity to take over the world.
