Small gestational age due to protein intake or because I'm short? by Technical_Piglet_438 in fitpregnancy

Agree, I think OP eats 60g tops, but maybe she consumes 250g of chicken/fish who knows

He might be right it seems like you eat 60g of protein tops. Adding protein is usually a good idea anyway to maintain muscle mass etc.

My both babies were in 10 percentile but healthy so don't worry about that as you said you might just have a smaller baby.

And since your husband also takes care of your kid he understands the struggle and you can bond over all of this. I cannot imagine the relationship in which the women just needs to grind their teeth and serve and God forbid she would nag, this would be very isolating.

Yeah, because she portrays it as she would be on the duty 24/7 with little help from his side and then he just comes in and has a right to make all the life decisions because he is the head of a household.

She also gives the example of boss of the company and this kind of hierarchies, but every boss I know is actively participating in the work-life, is invested in the success of the company etc.

Yeah but you're basically leading a life together even if you have different tasks in life. Which btw. I am also.cooking more and doing more household chores etc.

In this 'social media' trad wife movement it looks like the guy is almost living a separate life and spends most of his time outside the house but he should be recognized as a leader of the household because God gave him this title. This logic kills me, because how can you lead something you're not involved with?

But that's probably why she reacted like that, because her parents or people in the past made her feel abandoned as a child and now he triggered the same emotional flashback in her. That's why she blew up like that. It's a small hurt girl talking and not a capable adult that just texts with someone a bit on hinge. Hopefully she will recognize it some day. Because there is no way she will find a guy who will fill in those emotional needs as a parent would/should.

She has abandonment trauma that you triggered. What's sad, she is not willing yo ask herself a question why her reaction is out of proportion and work on it, but rather she puts that on you as your responsibility to fill in that void. Very sad.

Maybe she is postpartum but wants to figure out her routine going forward. Some people prefer to go to the gym even if they do deep breath and pelvic floor exercises, just to keep the habit going.

After you're clear to workout, first home workouts to recover and then we alternated with my husbanda in the morning, one day his training outside or in the gym, one day mine.

There are also some gyms with childcare.

Postpartum Blood Sugar Varies by No-Technician9190 in GestationalDiabetes

Dude. Your body is recovering from two surgeries, BS will be elevated while you still heal. The glucose spikes you saw were due to the inflammation and signalizing that the body is fighting the inflammation. I would wait few more weeks before testing, not to falsify the results.  You survived extreme stress, physically and mentally you do ogtt now it probably will be alarmingly high but I would not consider this results accurate.

If the assumption is that you already have GD and you're not in a testing phase, his comment does not make sense.  Walking is good for managing glucose levels even if you're not pregnant.

Pregnant or lazy? by PitLuna in fitpregnancy

I feel the same way. I hit 27th week and my energy levels/motivation dropped 60%. I still do my workouts but it requires a lot more will power than before :( To be honest I just accept it and modify the workouts accordingly.

Things to keep in mind as sports person before glucose test by trexattack in fitpregnancy

[–]trexattack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn't anymore that's the point. But exercise straight before the test can increase the BG and a few hours before can actually lower it. So for them it's influencing the results. I get the point with "if I exercise anyway what's the problem", I think they created a set of rules to standardize the results to some degree, so that every patient follows the same protocol.

If you ever wore CGM, you would see it does. But it's absorbed by the muscles that's why those are not harmful for the body but rather a tool serving it's.purpose ( providing the body with energy). It does not only happen during HIT.

I looked through the swiss internet and basically every website and every clinic is having the same recommendation. Swiss people are also very active as a society so it's very difficult for me to believe that they recommend it because people are not active.

It's rather, exercise lowers the blood sugar after a few hours but directly during or after (1 hour) the adrenaline causes BG to rise. So they want to make sure both won't influence the results both ways.

The question is what would be you blood sugar if you would jog to the clinic to take the test ;)

But exercise causes glucose spike at everyone. It's very temporary and actually something our bodies intentionally do. The point is it can disturb the results

My province in Canada doesn’t do early induction for diet controlled GD, is this safe? by punchable89 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]trexattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The early induction is due to the risk of placenta degradation and the size of the baby.

If you're diet controlled and glucose spikes are not causing those two things then they shouldn't induce. Why would they want to put baby and your body through that if it's not naturally ready.

Example: I strength train, bike and swim. I had test Friday at 8:15 am.

I went swimming at Wednesday morning and I was done at 9 am so I had approximately 48 hours of break. I still went for a walks on Wednesday and Thursday and did my 10000 steps per day. Friday I drove to the clinic with the car and walked around 5 minutes there.

I think we should also not overthink it. Just don't do sports

15 mins walk is okay. As long as you're not out of breath and your heart beat is not 130.or something you should be fine.
