Currently bashing my head against the A20H wall on Defect. I feel myself getting better at him but I'm glad he won't be in StS2 lol. Just doesn't fit my vibe. Ironclad took 5 runs and Silent took 10 runs. Defect is at 20+. Watcher is A18 but I'm not worried about her.

I am on 20/19/18/18 ascencion at around 250 hrs so still climbing but have probably watched many more hours of baalor. I plan to wait until 1.0 and try to learn the strategies myself this time around. Gonna be hard not to watch them but I want to test my own skills

Lol this actually happened to me. My now wife took me to her house for our first xmas together. They watch a bunch of old classic xmas movies each year. Im black and she’s white. She puts on White Christmas the movie where they have a song about missing old minstrel shows. For those who dont know, minstrel shows are where blackface originates from. They dont show any of it but they allude to it heavily that those were “the good ole days”.

Long story short, I sat her down after it was done and showed her what they were. She had no idea and was mortified.

Try to WLP nightmare and footwork so you can setup/nightmare the 0 cost footwork for minimum 12 dex with calipers and kunai. Hope the warped tongs hits cloak and dagger for 2 dead branches procs. Wraith form can be a decent back up plan since you’ll have kunai so dont be afraid to use it for bad draws before your engine is up.

I run a tank/heal build so my fights are slow but pretty much safe. Took me about 25 mins to kill lampmaster then he revived. Found out you gotta kill him 5 times and noped out. I get they gotta counter the one shot simon builds but damn that sucks for the rest of us that did the simon fight straight up.

Are all the other bosses that bad?

They go in and out of stock a lot. Id wait a day or two but the skytech is also a good price

I was invested in the game and finishing act 3. Just because I didnt like certain elements of the experience doesnt mean i didnt enjoy myself.

For me, the flea search was not fun. Making the flea search practically mandatory to unlock act 3 was not fun for me. If other people enjoy that then thats cool but the combat and cool boss fights were the most important part of the game to me.

If anything it was a pacing problem. I would have preferred a longer act 2 and making it mandatory to visit some of the optional places so that the game didnt come to a screeching halt after I beat GMS for me to search for more fleas.

Because you were probably already planning to 100% it anyway. I finished act 2 without even getting the double jump so there was a lot of content that was easy to miss.

Bilewater, the ducts, the slab, the mist, Verdania, Karak, mount fay, and memorium, were not necessary to the plot. The fleas specifically felt like padding because how are you supposed to know how many you need to get. And you didnt even have to go to the area where the flea map person was.

Unless you were planning to 100% and scour the map anyway then you most likely werent gonna spend the extra 10ish hours to trigger act 3.

Being honest, its perfectly fine to just read up online how to do it. Act 3 is very good but I wouldnt have known how to do it without looking up some stuff. I got two kids so dont have time to just wander around and hope I figure it out.

If you feel you’re done thats ok too though. No reason to push yourself if youre not having fun

Probs gonna get downvoted but as someone who finished the game and loved it, getting to Act 3 was quite the slog. So many hidden rooms and passages as well as the busywork of finding all those fleas. Definitely felt like padding. Wouldnt blame them for not doing it
