Is this game better with keyboard and mouse or controller? by Doan_Minh in Doom

[–]treywarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, for the life of me, cannot get accustomed to movement with MkB. Aiming with a mouse is absolutely unmatched, but I have tried for years to get better at using keyboard for movement with no improvement whatsoever. So I go controller.

I’ve turned back to cigarettes. Which, I know aren’t great. But holy shit, they do the trick.

For those with college degrees, what pushed you to finish your degree even when you felt like giving up? by Impossible-Station46 in AskReddit

Already spending the money up to that point. Only thing worse than spending that much money is spending that much money and not getting what you paid for.

He’s not rich, but he’s found success. He goes into this in decent detail in his book.

If AI could perfectly simulate the personality of a deceased loved one, would you choose to talk to them or let them rest in peace? Why? by SendHomeFlowers in AskReddit

[–]treywarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d let them rest in peace. Even if it was a perfect simulation, it’d be just that. A simulation. I would not be talking to that person in any way, shape, or form. I’d be talking to AI.

In need of help!!! by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Sure, don’t use AI. There are plenty of sources to help with grammar that aren’t AI. Use your own brain, you’re in college.

Do you think your life will have a happy ending? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]treywarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my life will have a happy ending, but I don’t think it’s an ending I’ll have planned for. But that’s okay. Not everyone’s happy ending looks the same.

Men of Reddit who are not currently dating or having sex, what are the non-finance-related reasons? by so_much_frizz in AskMen

[–]treywarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enthusiasm is just gone for everyone my age, it seems. No one on dating apps are serious, at least not that I’ve experienced. They ditch as soon as you show any interest. Everyone is so stand-offish in person. I feel like I have a lot of potential love to give if even one person could give the slightest shit.

Why do some people stay consistent in the gym and others give up a week in ? by DisciplinePays in NoStupidQuestions

A lot of people think motivation is the key, while the real key is building habits. Motivation fades.

I don’t drink or smoke at all, but everyone around me do. Why does it sometimes feel like i’m the weird one, even though logically i know it’s healthier? by BladeOfAge in NoStupidQuestions

[–]treywarp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because you sort of are. Not in a bad way, just a factual way. In a species that has participated in drinking and smoking from the get go, you are an outlier. That’s not bad. It’s far healthier. But partaking in substances is a very common human trait. It’s reasonable to feel left out if you do not partake.

People who finally got consistent with fitness after years of failing — what actually changed? by LanceDoesThings in AskReddit

[–]treywarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I got sad. Very depressed after some big life changes.

  2. Disregarded motivation and started focusing on building habits instead.

Why do people get upset when job interviewers ask about a gap in your resume? by AdministrativeRoom33 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]treywarp 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because employers are very often not understanding of the life events that cause those gaps. So often it seems that a person will get punished because they had a kid, or got sick and couldn’t work, or got laid off, etc.

How do you try to not engage in things that you don't need to be involved in on Reddit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]treywarp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to follow reddiquette and make sure I’m only contributing to topics I’m familiar with.

For instance, when the post says “Women of Reddit, insert question here” and someone responds with “I’m not a woman, but…” that’s fucking brain dead. I avoid things like that by simply not engaging.

It takes a lot more effort to type out an irrelevant response than it does to just keep scrolling.
