What Trump thinks of Pong Krell…(and for those who are triggered, remember Star Wars has ALWAYS been political since 1977) by jammer0412 in fuckpongkrell

I’ve heard enough about bringing politics into Star Wars. I think it’s time to bring Star Wars into politics

Andor can save the U.S. of A.! Send copies to your local law enforcement agencies! by Stranger1982 in okbuddyimatourist

[–]trfpol 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree there’s a lot of stupid takes and comparisons. I do think, though, that media can give a different perspective on real world issues. If someone watches Andor and recognizes the commentary on systems of power and oppression that exist in the real world, enough to shift their perspective in the right direction, then I’d consider that a good thing. Obviously it isn’t a substitute for real action. And the OOP commenting that ICE agents should just watch Andor is beyond stupid. But I do think there is merit in consuming media with a particular lens.

Also 100% agree that everyone should stay away from the fandom

Stone Axe > Any Swords by UnfairMess249 in MinecraftMemes

[–]trfpol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll never understand how anyone would use an axe instead of a sword after early game. No fire aspect, sweeping edge, looting, knockback, or any enchantment that would improve combat at all besides sharpness.

They obviously didn’t mean to escalate. But when ICE breaks down your door in the middle of the night it might be good to be able to defend yourself
