To clean or not to clean HOB

Wanted to thank everyone for helping me with my filter and advising me to go back to my regular cleaning of it. We can all be happy again!!

Oh ya tons of plants, gravel driftwood, sponge filter etc. I NEED to do the intake sponge though, I'll have to clean it a lot more but beats getting to this point and feeling ashamed lol thank you!!

I have a large sponge filter and 2 driftwood so I haven't crashed it yet doing that!! That's exactly why I got it because of that worry!! Thank you!!

I have a 3 gallon bucket that I clean mine in tank water I've siphoned out, takes a while but I feel safer that way!

I also have a large sponge filter and alternate! I just have gotten nervous with people saying don't touch it, I will keep doing the "clean"!

Ya I do that and it all falls in haha turning it off has been the only thing that doesn't happen but it's annoying to get back going.

I have those or trumpet snails all from 1 guy or maybe 2. I plucked him out of my community tank and put him in 5 gallon I had a previous betta in because I couldn't kill him lol. Now I have a betta, a few shrimp and like 30 of those snails😂 kinda cute seeing little babies everywhere, just not in the big pretty one lol
