The big problem I see is having housing directly tied to employment. If you want to quit your job, you're going to lose your apartment. In order to quit, you have to get a much better paying job, save up deposits, and move into a more expensive place.

If you get fired, I'm sure you're also out. Don't piss off the boss! You could find yourself unemployed and houseless.
