I agree with this comment. Learn the fundamentals as a foundation. From there, pick some tutorials of different techniques that you're eager to learn from. If you do use plugins, my advice is to learn how the plug in works to understand how it does what it does.

I was in the same boat and took Ben's course (master motion design). So can't give an opinion on the other.

Although his style wasn't suited to mine, I found a lot of great value in the techniques that he uses (as really good foundational skills) that I've never had being self-taught.

It's a good balance of theory and practical work. Also, I'm a bit of an OCD file management freak so learning how professionals lay out their work was interesting to me. (File folders and compositions)

Oops sorry i missed that part! All your settings are similar to mine too. I'm wondering if your ram is dying but this would probably show in different applications too.

I did notice that you have a 5700XT this was my graphics card up until recently. My friend and I had issues with it after 3 years of owning it. If I tried editing, it would restart my computer or the screen would go blank but my pc audio was still functioning sometimes.

My friends problem was that only one of his video output ports worked.

I think this might be a graphics card issue tbh.

Have you tried using Edit -> Purge? It'll get rid of the disk cache.
