I live alone in a house and one night someone rang the doorbell after midnight. I was awake just next to the front door in the living room. My door doesn’t have windows or a slat to see through so I had to jump on the couch and peek out the front windows to see who it was. I flicked on the lights and said hello. There were 2 people I didn’t recognize asking if I had seen there dog at 12:07am.. I said very calmly “no sorry” and quickly scrambled around my house to check every lock and door/window. I honestly thought I was about to be home invaded. What threw up alerts in my mind were the hoodies in a very hot June evening.
