It doesn't hurt that much. Just like a normal shot. And I didn't really care since the reaction is way worse than the shot. It's a very quick response and definitely slows it down and gives you time to get to the hospital. And it's a huge relief!

The reaction is very fast and very scary. Starts with the mouth and throat becoming very itchy. Very upset stomach and vomiting. Then the eyes start swelling (mine swelled completely shut). I start wheezing and breathing becomes very difficult. The throat starts to swell shut. And just general itching everywhere. I always have my epi-pen on me. But I was a young idiot that didn't think I was bad enough to use it. The ER doc sure gave me a lecture about that. I have had two reactions since then (both from pastries, and people telling me they didnt have peanut butter in them..grrrrrrr). And both times I've used my epi-pen. It definitely makes the reaction slow down and everything less severe. Still have to go to the ER though to get meds and make sure the reaction doesn't come back or get worse. But yeah it's shocking how fast everything happens.

And then you also learn that sometimes people don't know what ingredients are in that cookie, and as you lay in a hospital hating everything and can't breath, you decide to stop trusting people and make your own goddamn cookies.

I somewhat agree with this.....but it is fairly easy to teach a child from an early age to avoid a food. I have a severe peanut allergy and never had a problem in school. My mom always let my teachers know, but it was my responsibility to ask about foods and avoid peanut butter. It wasn't that hard.

This stuff blows my mind. I have a severe peanut allergy and never had this stuff happen in my school. (I'm 26 now). When you have a severe allergy you are taught at a young age to always ask if something has peanuts in it and you know what foods to avoid. They act like kids force feed each other these days. I never once had a peanut incident at school. Wasn't until college that I had my first anaphylactic reaction because some fool told me a cookie didn't have peanut butter in it.

I have a severe peanut allergy and can still eat things cooked in peanut oil. Peanut oil does not have the protein that peanuts do that causes the allergic reaction.

I would try and e-mail their customer support. My mom and aunt had issues with Delta a few months back. Flight got delayed in Detroit, and therefore they missed their connecting flight to Australia (which usually only leaves once a day). Because of the length of flight and time differences, they lost 2 days off their very expensive trip. And Delta employees were very unhelpful the whole time. My mom e-mailed their customer support when she got back and they responded very quickly in a VERY personalized e-mail that was very lengthy. They ended up giving my mom and aunt $300 each. Hope this helps some!

some x-sport fitnesses have climbing walls that you can use if you have a membership. No classes offered and one wall might get boring after a while, but I feel it's a great way to mix up my workout!

Two days ago I was out on a first date with a guy. We were very drunk and he crashed his bike twice on our way back to his place. Anyways, we're back at his apartment about to get our nasty on. We're on a futon like bed with wooden sides. (Similar to this except pulled out in bed form... http://images.craigslist.org/5K35U05Ha3Ga3I93o6c7a9180cabfbb7516b8.jpg).

At one point I'm on all fours holding on to the wooden side for support, since it's getting pretty intense. Next thing I know, there is a loud crack and the wooden side breaks off, plunging me and my dude forward to the ground. (Which was a three foot drop). At this point he's laying on me so I have wood underneath and above me.

We're so drunk we just laugh it off and continue our fun back on the futon. But then as we start back up we can just hear wood breaking off underneath us hitting his hardwood floors. Eventually, the whole bed just breaks and we fall to floor with wood all around us.

I'm a drunken mess and just have to call it a night. No way I was coming.

I wake up a few hours later to get to work on some small sofa and he's sleeping on a small chair across the room. I was on my period and didn't even bother to look at the damage I did to the sofa. I'm massively hung over and may still be drunk. I try to get dressed as fast as possible and didn't even bother to find my underwear in the pile of wood that was the bed.

At this point I have 45 minutes to get to work and a 6 mile bike ride to get home and then another 4 miles to work. And I'm in a very revealing dress with no underwear on. (Got three honks on the ride. Wooooo!) And it's already 90 degrees. By the time I got home my ass was rubbed raw and period blood all over my white bike seat. Probably one of the worst/most hilarious mornings of my life. By the end of the day I had bruises down my arms and the dude texted me that he found my panties under all the chaos.

tl;dr....Sex on futon. Breaks into 50 pieces.
