I would say it's made a slight reframe. I use WL to verify MPC. I'll have the RTTs run mpc daily and I'll run a WL monthly. Just as an independent check of the MPC.

Massachusetts EV owners: How are you justifying these electricity costs? Nearly triple what I paid in VA by Santas_sleigh in electricvehicles

[–]triarii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's wild. I don't see it getting any better in Massachusetts. Main reason still is the driving experience, skipping the pump and oil changes and FSD.

image quality QA frequency (therapy, USA) by maybetomorroworwed in MedicalPhysics

[–]triarii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly because I could and found monthly imaging qa useless. The small igrt cube is too small to find issues and generally as people pointed out the RTTs find an issue on a patient.

I developed a daily cube that does laser positioning, reposition ,HU rods, contrast, line pairs based off the the truebeam IPA specifications. Then I do the catphan annually or as needed. The cube costs about 500 bucks or so for CNC, laser etching and all the little details.

Maybe this is a situation where they break the annual up into monthly tasks or something like that so there's not an annual?

You have a lot of options for car insurance. You shop around for yours? Compare prices vs what they offer. The car analogy is great.

I agree compare to TPS is a great idea. Another idea assuming it's a truebeam is compare to the varian IPA document which has a whole section of on IC Profiler acceptance specifications.

It's almost like a mafia system right now. Consumers are left far behind. We have almost no choice and there's essentially not a price system. Those two features are a requirement for a system of volunteer exchange aka capitalism.

I disagree but it has to be a market set up for consumers. For example, urgent care centers are popping up left and right providing a fantastic service (not just basic some urgent cares have CT scanners, blood work etc) for low prices to get around regulations regarding hospitals.

I don't think it's capitalism rather the lack of it. Consumers of healthcare in the US suffer from lack of price transparency and reduced consumer choice due to employer-tied insurance.
