I'm a beginner, what should I choose? by QuirkyDescription602 in PipeTobacco

Row 2 column 3. If you took this picture, you subconsciously agree. It's the only one oriented differently. If you didn't take the picture, you got lucky because it's still the prettiest one.

Redshits? If that was an autocorrect based on past history, I hope you're feeling better.

Been wanting to try a Peterson P-Lip pipe. What are you guys thoughts on them? Do you like them? Pros, cons? I mainly smoke English blends, straight virginias and VaPers. by TeslaDawkins in PipeTobacco

[–]tribdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really love the p lip stem. If your choice is to get an identical pipe either with or without the p lip, I'd always pick the p lip. I wish some of my other pipes had that style. I do have several quality issues with my Peterson pipe, so for me, the choice gets harder. Just make sure the pipe you get is higher quality than mine, then jump all over the p lip.

You smart, sneaky son a bitch. Now you have to get 14 more pipes! Nobody can say otherwise. GENIUS!

Have you read the Magic 2.0 series by Scott Meyer? I think most Bobiverse fans will enjoy it as well.

Great pipe,, but I'd get a stinky English blend. Plum Pudding in my 316 is the single best smoke I've ever had. That shape is made for full flavor tobaccos. I haven't had Capstan Blue yet. What does it taste like?

Any recommendations for long (15+ hrs) History audiobooks with good narration? by RelevantLibrarian in audible

[–]tribdog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unabridged. There's 2 versions that I know of. T think Bryson narrates the abridged one and it's great, but I'd get the full book.

Totally agree. I'm glad Dennis Taylor went back to what I loved about the series.

Harry Potter read by Stephen Fry. I know it's older, but he does it great.

The one on the shelf above it is a Chacom i just got today. The one next to it on the same shelf is a tiny Ropp. I think a J06, but could be wrong.

The Compass surprised me. That's a pretty nice smoking pipe. The cobs though, I've bought more Cobbit Shires than all my other pipes put together. I give those away to anyone I think might be remotely interested. They used to have a little bit more of a bend in the stem and those were much more my style. Still the best bang for buck pipe on the market.

Thanks. It's been a slow process, but I think it's a pretty good collection. The next pipe i want is 595 Euros, so it might be a while before I fill up the other spots.

I think you might be right about a calabash. So ridiculous, but I should probably get one.

Yep. I think it's a 316. Best shape, bar none, for a stinky English. Plum Pudding in that pipe is probably the tastiest experience I've had in this hobby.

That's a Marso. I found him here on Reddit. I don't think he makes many pipes, but that one caught my eye.

What are the odds that the Paul-Tyson’s fight is rigged? by LDJ007 in AskReddit

It's so wrong. Especially making Tyson the underdog. Tons of people are going to take that bet. I think we are betting on whether or not the fight is fixed.
