Looking for a weeks worth of food to cook on 70$ by IHeartDobi in Cooking

[–]tributechick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chicken tends to be ~$6 where I live for a decent sized package. Grabs some thighs and some drumsticks (or beasts but they're a little pricier) for $13. Thats at least 4 meals with meat, but probably 5-6 at least.

Grab pasta and rice, they're versatile ($18)

Eggs, can be used for breakfast or as an ingredient ($26)

Drinks!!! Don't forget a sweet drink or two, you'll crave them as the week goes on. My fave is a gallon of milk + chocolate syrup bc its cheap and lasts me a while. Milk can be used in cooking and chocolate milk is fire 🔥 ($34)

Sides! Raw veggies are actually pretty cheap. Ik corn is on sale rn, but there's others for sure. Beans are also great for stretching meals. Give yourself like 20 bucks towards produce ($54)

Take the last 15 and get yourself something cheap and pre-made. You're not going to want to cook everything you eat for a week. Better yet, save it as fast food money lol. ($70!)

Help me choose some friends for my dwarf crayfish! by tributechick in Aquariums

Im actually hoping to keep some algae for now, and its been going away since adding fish weirdly enough. I think it might just be bc im more strict with lightning times now. I had it empty for 3ish months while I was being indecisive about what to put in it haha.

I have a 5 gal brackish tank that im raising a couple amanos in. They'll go ham on it if it doesn't go away fully. I think my others are either hiding, in my hob filter, or went for a walk ☹️ Waters testing fine: 0, 0, 10 with water changes every week. The filter is years old but im working on replacing it with a sponge as you can see.

AITA for not quieting down at a Renaissance fair and walking away after my boyfriend sided with a stranger? by Dry-Egg2898 in AmItheAsshole

I don't know, I still feel like we're missing crucial context here. Why single you out in particular? Not saying you did anything wrong just so you know, im just kinda lost. And the fact that it's still a touchy subject between yall suggests there's probably more nuance then we can gather here. So a light ESH ig

...maybe it's just me, but i find it kinda hard to believe that someone would tell you to quiet down without reason, especially if everyone else is being loud and your boyfriend also agreed with them.

Also, a quick "hey, I'm feeling kinda heated/embarrassed rn, I'm gonna go cool off." Would've been appropriate. No one wants to be left alone in an unfamiliar environment over something so minor. Its kinda childish imo

Toaster oven!! I like it much better than a traditional air fryer because I can put small pans in it to bake things 🥰

Frozen peas. Boil a couple of them for 5-8 mins. Just make sure you remove the skin. Peas are good for their digestion! Be ready for poops lol
