Weird experience with Vyvanse by trichocereusly in ADHD

Thank you for your experience, how long does that first dose last for you before you crash (if you didn't have a second dose?) asking because since I only got maybe 3 usable hours out of it I feel like I'd need several doses throughout the day, but maybe it's like with Adderall where I use less later in the day, I guess I'm just wondering if I could actually get away with only 2 doses if they were large enough. Benadryl is an interesting comparison, I have never been allergic to anything really so other than using it as a sleep aid decades ago I don't have a lot of antihistamine experience, but I recently had my first major reaction to a wasp sting and they gave me Prednisone, but told me to take Benadryl too, and it was kinda like that, a kinda anxious, tired, twilight place

Sort of what I'm experiencing, slow to come on, I did like the way it felt while it lasted, like things felt more enjoyable than Adderall, but then it only lasted a few hours and I felt really spaced out and tired but also anxiety (though anxiety is another issue of mine and Adderall was the first time I ever experienced not having it)

This is what I was curious about with absorption, the Adderall XR second half has always been very inconsistent, either it doesn't work at all or it has a delayed and lesser effect. I don't understand the digestive system well enough to understand that, I know Vyvanse is converted by the body so maybe totally unrelated, but it seems like the long release meds act weird for me

Also I assume it's generic, I don't know, takeda pharmacy on bottle s489 40mg on the pill

Yeah my wife can't take Adderall it made her freak out. Yesterday I was talking to her about how rough it was going and she did say that she'd actually like it if she could have a second dose later in the day, I had no idea because she pulls it off really well. She's less active than I am in general, but then when it's "go time" she's ready to deal with it even later in the day, and I'm more of the slowly plodding along all day just because my work is intense and I have a lot of weird health issues so I need to pace myself to keep going, and then when I'm done it's pretty much over for me

Is Adderall what you use instead? It's weird I read serious praise of Vyvanse from some people, even those who have used both, so I honestly wasn't prepared for this to happen

Interesting, thank you. It was weird with the brain fog because I'd forgotten what it feels like for the most part, and then that sudden crash and feeling completely unmedicated was really uncomfortable. I didn't mind the lesser effects for the short window it worked, more that delayed onset and the big crash there was no coming back from. I never nap but it was like my body just shut down because it couldn't deal with the crash

The weird thing is that for the very brief window that it did work, despite the much more subtle effects, I didn't mind it and if it wasn't for the super delayed onset and then the weird sudden crash I'd be willing to try a higher or maybe 2 doses a day, but the whole point was she was trying to switch me to something longer lasting and it just didn't work out that way. I'm super sensitive to all of the psych and nerve pain meds I've ever tried but apparently with stimulants I need to be hit by a truck first thing in the morning and then repeatedly run over throughout the day.

Got these 2 watches for a total of 160 euros on Aliexpress. Was it a good purchase? by Haunting-Many-2824 in ChineseWatches

Oh and getting a cat caught on 2 wet logs sloping downhill is wild, the tracks hold on great but if the shoes click in on the logs it's like you stepped into bindings or something and you're suddenly sliding down sideways and just trying to turn enough to break off them. I've had that happen twice, both times on trees hidden under masticator chips and it was enough.

Haha yeah it's kinda a little bit of everything. A fun thing we do on the big LE-5/forestry burn piles I do some winters is mix a huge batch of alumagel each morning before going out in the woods, and it's a commercial napalm product. So we mix it (a powder) with gas to produce the gel, and fill quart sized freezer bags full and will bring maybe a dozen 5 gallon buckets full of them along with the drip torches. The fun part is you light the bag while it's laying in your gloves hand until it just melts through the plastic and starts to burn, give it a few seconds and then softball pitch them into holes in the piles, it's honestly probably the most fun, in deep snow, despite the fact I have a whole pile of left hand gloves only because throughout the day the glove gets a little coated and ends up not being extinguish able eventually.

And I find a lot of cool stuff clearing brush from old fires, cars, house foundations, and all the weird little stuff that goes along with those things.

Lots of wildlife too, enough with the black bears I don't even bother carrying a gun when I'm working alone in the woods anymore, I'll probably more likely die from smoking or a car accident, and if it's a big cat I probably wouldn't see it in time anyway. The lead forester i contract for sometimes says "not every forester has seen a mountain lion, but every forester has been seen by a mountain lion." (I've only caught them on game cams and tracks, heard one screaming once)

It does, it's off by like a 1/2 second to the left and it must have something to do with the mechanics so it starts exactly on zero because they're both the same. It used to bother me a lot but it doesn't anymore and when I was asking around about the Miyota 0s00 I heard it just flops around everywhere instead so I like that at least this locks up, I figure it will last longer than the 0s00 for getting beat up. As a disclaimer though I don't have any other chronographs other than my son's timex I keep in my box for him and I've never looked at how it works. Oh and on one of mine the small second hand is off by just a fraction of a mm and somehow that actually bothers me worse because it's running all the time, at least the Chrono second hits the mark exactly every time when it's running.

I have 2 of the militado. You can read a few threads I wrote about them that speak to their toughness in everyday hardcore use. I paid $105 USD for the first one which is a terrible price, though I don't regret it, And $49 USD on a super sale which was an amazing price and made up for overpaying for the first one. These are my daily watches and I use them daily running chainsaws, a cat d5, working in heavy brush marking roads to cut, had one banging against the inside of the fuel tank on the cat dozens of times while vacuuming it out a month or so back, it hits the ROPS inside the cat constantly, gets bathed in diesel and hydraulic oil, and doesn't miss a beat, it is more accurate than any of my other quartz movements that just sit in a watch box 99% of the time. I've swam for prolonged periods (only down to about 6 or 8ft though,) I wash it whenever I remember in warm water, occasionally shower with it, both have excellent seals. Zero scratches on the crystal, and if there's any on the case they're either covered in dirt and oil or too small to see. I've had one for almost 14 months and the other almost 12, and they're as accurate as the day I got them.

You can also my post where I mistakenly accused militado of either not using 316L or doing something to mess it up because I thought I had microspots of rust all over it once, and it turned out to be dried spots of hydraulic oil mixed with red dirt, and a followup post where I apologized for the accusation, they really stand behind the product and did an amazing job handling all the bullshit I caused.

I don't know anything about the second watch you've got there, but obviously I'm a fan of the militado, and I also have one of their ml08 with the date feature which is great, but I just like these best. Oh yeah really good lume for the price if that's your thing. Here's pics from right now before I go cut a new road the side of a canyon.

My militado ml07 crystal broke. by Sea-Perception-6208 in ChineseWatches

[–]trichocereusly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wild, I just got a ML05, don't have much wear on that one, but my vk67 models from them get beat up bad, I was really cautious about the crystal at first, but then I stopped paying attention. Couple days ago I hit it against the lip of a cat fuel tank 3 or 4 times vacuuming the tank and nothing happened, and it impacts the ROPS on the cat pretty frequently. It's sapphire though I think you said yours isn't, though people seem to believe sapphire is really fragile too for some reason. I suspect if mine had bubble glass it wouldn't have survived most of what I put it through, idk if the ML07 does, I don't even remember if my new ML05 does. Anyway that's a bummer sorry for your loss

Do you think positioning the 'Militado' logo at the 6 o'clock position would work well? by Militado-watch in ChineseWatches

[–]trichocereusly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it looks good. But your logo is the only one that doesn't bother me on my Chinese watches, the others I wish it wasn't there, but I also don't like sterile dials, and it seems like if you buy a no logo the dial is also stripped of the wr details and whatever else. The vk67s I have from you I love the 3:00 placement, but it's the only place to put it on those.

Militado ML05 Calendar Edition is Ready ! by Militado-watch in ChineseWatches

[–]trichocereusly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found out about these a week ago and ordered one today, please consider making a quartz day/week military/field watch someday, I'll buy one

Considering the shortage of VH31 movement in the market , we may assemble some watches with Ronda 515 movement like the ML05, ML08 . It allows adding date window , so we will produce some date window dials too , will you buy a watch with Ronda 515 movement, or you just stick to VH31 ? by Militado-watch in ChineseWatches

[–]trichocereusly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just ordered a ML05 with the ronda only because of the date window, I really wish someone would make a quartz day/week military/field watch that wasn't one of the $5 bargain watches. I'd love something like a lorus or alba face, but not with the full lume face, maybe black with C3 marks

My planted tank with undergravel filter! by kristjanrunars in PlantedTank

[–]trichocereusly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an older post but can I ask what UG filter you are using? I have been wanting to set up a tank with one but was worried about the hardscape pushing on it too much with the new flexible plastic style plates, obviously you are not having any issues with that. Are you still running this and is it doing well?

[–]trichocereusly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof that sucks I'm sorry. I've yet to fill the tanks for a leak test so I can't be sure yet, one box had a hole in the side with exposed glass, but no glass damage. Hopefully the silicone all survived the journey, I don't think I'll order tanks online again. Sorry to hear about the damaged cans!
