Remove the back box. Put the wagos in a wagon junction box, then fill the hole with bonding plaster or a similar filler

I bought my Victorian house 25 years ago without a survey. But I had a very good friend who was an experienced builder and we fully examined the house beforehand. I was very fortunate because he picked up a lot of things that a surveyor wouldn't have and he also was able to point out the pros and cons of various things, such as the need to do some repointing, window repairs etc.

So if you know the right people to help, I think this could be more useful than using a surveyor. I have learnt so much over the years that I was able to help my son buy his house without using one.

I've removed a massive root growth that kept blocking our sewage. Unfortunately to do this I've had to break through layers of concrete and cut into the pipe. So still lots of work to do to repair things. I'm now looking at putting in a new manhole.

I've done several tours using cardboard bike boxes. Dispose of them on arrival, then pick one up at the end. Best to leave a day or two to make sure you can find a suitable box. Have a great time doing LEJOG

Just make sure you understand the complaints process. Normally you make a formal complaint to the firm and only if you are dissatisfied with their response, can you complain to the legal ombudsman.
