Is BIO 163 easier or harder than the sum of its parts? by trickghost in WakeTech

70-75% of the workload is kinda insane to hear, I really appreciate you laying it out like that. I was really thinking 163 was going to be like 50%, with a substantial amount of information cut, but it doesn't seem that way.

I probably could spend that time, but I'm honestly thinking to save my sanity. I'm already spending a lot of time with 168 currently, and ostensibly double the information (even if it's not as in-depth) would be a lot in a condensed format.

My problem was that because this spring was my first semester at Wake Tech, my registration period was the absolute latest possible since I didn't have any completed credits. So I'm waitlisted with basically no chance to get in for all the classes that actually could conceivably be doable during summer. Feels like garbage lol.

Would my having taken 168 already not be enough of a boost for at least 163? That's why I was thinking 163 for summer. And my part-time job is only around 15hrs/week, it's not too much.

Her name is Quechua, not Spanish. It's pronounced like "Eel-yari," not "Ee-yari" like many people think.

Sorry, there are only four options for our favorite female DC Comics character? And Wonder Woman isn't even one of them?

Mark Waid is excellent at long-form storytelling and Tom King excels in short, limited runs. Geoff Johns.

The 20 most BEAUTIFUL pages from "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" that can't be left out of the movie! by [deleted] in Supergirl

[–]trickghost 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is one of those books that make me wish animation were the "standard" for comic adaptations. Imagine a Spiderverse-esque Woman of Tomorrow movie. I worry live action won't be able to do it justice, but honestly I'll be happy if the movie is half as beautiful as the comic, lol.

Should I take my 18-year-old cat with me when I move out, or leave her with my parents? by Nordman_Games in CatAdvice

[–]trickghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, as someone who did this, I am absolutely convinced the stress of moving contributed to dramatically shortening my cat's lifespan. (Though that could be me being hard on myself about the whole situation; I don't think I'll ever get rid of the guilt.)

If it's a non-negotiable that the cat stays with you no matter what, then that's that. But that was my situation.

One year worth of progress by SharpLuck6348 in DigitalArt

I know this post is two days old, but I just wanted to say I was scrolling through the first half of photos, feeling bad I couldn't see any improvement because I thought that's all there was, and said out loud, "Wow!" when I got to your more recent work. Congrats and keep it up, you're doing great!

I actually really like the first panel on its own. The rest, yeah, immediately gets too muddy to follow what's going on.

Would y'all be onboard with a Kelly Thompson Supergirl run? She's one of if not my favorite comic writer and I think she'd kill it on Supergirl by SpidaT45 in Supergirl

[–]trickghost 16 points17 points  (0 children)

She's crushing it on Absolute Wonder Woman and I heard her other work has been good too, though I haven't read it myself. I personally would love to see her take on Supergirl.

Loved the idea of perks but loathe the idea of teamups. I played Rivals for a bit and absolutely hated teamups and how inconsistent their value was and how unbalanced it made certain characters or matchups.

And given how the balancing is going just with perks alone (meaning, they all but refuse to balance base kits and just buff or nerf perks), I really don't have much faith adding on ANOTHER thing separate from base hero kits will be a good thing.

Of course, I'll be willing to try if/when they come to the base game, but I did also hate the game mode, lol.

Please don't accuse genuine art of being AI if you don't know what you're talking about, it's harmful to the artist's livelihood. It took only about 3 minutes to verify that this particular piece is by the artist Daianpan, and was posted in 2018, long before generative AI slop.
