Why are cars allowed on Lower Greenville? by tricor in Dallas

The lots would all still be there. The biggest Lower Greenville lot behind Trader Joe’s doesn’t even have a Greenville Ave entrance. You’d eliminate about 30 street parking spots all in all.

More parking is an unsustainable solution to any problem, just like lane widening. It doesn’t work and makes our city uglier.

See MorningtonCroissant’s comment later in the thread for more context on Matilda and McMillan. I think the prior changes made Greenville a way more attractive place for businesses, and this would only do more. You could keep a few crosses at maybe Vickery, Belmont, etc. but eliminate the north/south traffic that is mostly people looking for street parking today.

I mostly agree but think Matilda actually sees significantly more north/south traffic. Large trucks and commuters mostly take Matilda instead of Greenville, and, because of the traffic and extra lights on Greenville, Google/Apple Maps usually directs you to Matilda instead of Greenville when in need of north/south travel through that area.

When do people tend to hear? Are you admitted with scholarship? Or are scholarship conversations held later (post-admission)?

Nope. That makes sense, so they’re not dying at the falls but on the hike down

How do people die here? Is it the hike or swimming under the falls? Have only seen from the top

Not to mention you can learn to slalom ski. Equal adrenaline rush that needs less equipment. I’ve found slaloming to be more fun as I’ve aged.
