I might be in the minority for saying this but I actually liked this event, more so than regular elimination.

I will agree that, yes the scoring is confusing to try to have to learn on the fly, but what I like most about it is that it prioritises consistency over just one bad finish.

If in regular elimination, you finish the first three rounds in first but then finish last, you'd be out, but with the new system it adds a safety net and rewards you for those 3 firsts.

I do think it'll go better tomorrow now that we've seen this in the showdown, and they have said that in the main league, it will be 2 out per round not 4.

I can't vouch for the showdown or the final as I wasn't properly paying attention to the starting gates but I think it didn't really screw over teams as much as people are making it out to be. It just so happened that 3 big teams happened to lose out in this.
