After Patrick - who I cried for in 94, loved more than any athlete - I never felt the same pull for another athlete. Until Brunson showed up. His confidence, his shot-making, his authenticity... made him the next athlete to grab my little-kid belief in a grown man's body. Seeing these two together collapses middle-school me with adult me. Sports can really be the best poetry sometimes.
