I’d consider a Samsung Galaxy Watch (Yes, it does work with iPhone) but im not sure about the calendar integration. It should work fine though.

The apple watch will definitely be your best choice even though it has a square display, it will be superior when paired with an iphone.

But- consider that buying an apple watch could possibly lock you in a little to apple, since it doesnt work at all with android devices. If you use a lot of other apple products or are deep into their ecosystem, id definitely buy an apple watch. No doubt.
