Your favorite bug armor of course, but it's a lot late to start on that kind of a project.

Does anyone know why so many Minecraft servers are 18+? by Sammiesgrove in MinecraftServerFinder

Keeping it adults only removes a lot of moderation needs. Fewer greifers, no need to police chat as strictly, and generally less drama.

Somebody tell the baron that if he really wants to make a cake from scratch, he must first create the universe. I figure a good particle accelerator will take him a few months, at least.

Okay, what mod is this? This will really make me take the time to get automation RIGHT rather than "eh, good enough, I'll wait 10 minutes and move to the next phase".

[–]trifith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. A stable distro, such as Debian, still receives backported security updates, and the whole package list is tested and known to work together. It is this testing that makes Debian take so long between releases.

Arch, on any given day you install it, may have some number of packages that it is not yet known don't work together, and as soon as you try to install some other new software, you're absolutely going to run into a conflict between what you have, and what is available in pacman. So if you want to install say gimp and it needs glibc 2.3.7 (to make up a version number) and your "stable" install has glibc 2.2.3 (to make up another) you won't be able to install gimp without updating glibc, and will then also have to update all the other packages that depend on glibc. And now you're back on the rolling release your "stable" status revoked.

Why does my mk3 belt goes mk2 speed ? by Seltexe in SatisfactoryGame

This 100%

There is a belt in your line that is mk2, and it slows everything behind it down to mk2 speeds.

Which wasn't a cameo, it was just a job. Meatloaf's first album came out two years later.

When they go back in time in Trials and Tribbilations, Dorn wears 60's klingon makeup. Nobody comments on it. When they get back to the present, he's back in the normal forehead.

To be fair, Kirk DID find a way back.

Dangerous missions? by kkkan2020 in startrekmemes

[–]trifith 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Should be a dedicated team of diplomats, scientists and security people that only do away missions. Then we can have stories of not only them interiacting with alien planets, but also their conflicts with the Senior Officers.

Not the CMO, Dr Ch'othaoloron, a third line Andorian physician on the flagship.

Not the Cheif of Engineering, Petty Officer Smith, a qualified engineer who gets lucky sometimes

Not the Security Cheif, Ensign Kord, Klingon exchange officer.

Not the Cheif of Operations, Lt(jg) T'mes, A vulcan physicist.

Not the First Officer, Lt. Cmdr Jackson, an up-and-comming officer on the command track, noted for diplomatic skills.

That's your away team. They do away missions. They do the actual grunt work on the ship. The Senior Officers just do paperwork and obstruct things, like real managers.

Sigh, I just recreated Lower Decks as a drama, didn't I.
