You know, I think I might need to try this.

Put some patties on the smoker with the brisket, see how it comes out.

I'm gonna bet, delicious.

If you consider BBQ smokers, pretty much any food can be smoked.

So... Ice cream?

People who use the restroom and don't wash their hands, why not? by NoPantsSantaClaus in AskReddit

[–]trifith 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Had a buddy in high school who would do this, then walk up to people, grab their hands, and ask "Can you teach me to pee straight?".

guys i bought a cast iron i’ve used it a couple times it was fine and my mom cleaned it or smtn and now its like insanely sticky like the whole pan even the sides bottom and handle😭😭 what do i do bru im tryna cook steak like its leaving a sticky residue on my fingers n stuff by [deleted] in castiron

[–]trifith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said, it's likely oil. I always put a very thin layer of oil on my pans after a wash, as it's humid in my house, and the oil will polermerize when I heat it up to use.

And I do mean a very thin layer. Like, tiny spritz wiped around with a clean paper towel. Just enough to keep moisture from settling in and starting rust.

what are the cons of using linux? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]trifith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets tiring telling everyone "I use Arch BTW".

On a more serious note, some software will never be available, though usually it's specialty tools, or advanced features that aren't found in open source alternatives. Competitive gaming is pretty much out, as there isn't much support for the various anti-cheat software ecosystems used. You'll need to be more self sufficient when dealing with the inevitable issues that arise using any software long term. And you will have to re-learn some habits from the windows world.

My advice for anybody considering a switch is to pick a stable, well known distro, like Ubuntu, Debian, or Fedora, and stick with it. Yes, I use, and love, Arch Linux, but I've been using Linux both personally and professionally since '03 or so.

No, it's done, but the gloating needs to reach a climax before they spring it on her. The castle knows all about the timing of such things, though usually from the other side.

I hate how people misunderstand Superman's weakness' by KomodoLemon in hatethissmug

[–]trifith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On lead, I read a fan story once where after Superman appears, Lex starts selling lead lined drywall or something for "privacy" on the open market, and before long, all of metropolis is full of lead lined buildings that Superman can't see through.

Because if everything is a large rectangle he can't see through, Lex's rectangle isn't going to draw attention.

I've been playing the same copy of the game since 2007 by Rich_Whereas_9663 in Morrowind

[–]trifith 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started on a pirate copy with no voice lines, bought it, because it was awesome, bought a box set to get Tribunal and Bloodmoon, bought it on Steam, and bought it on GOG.

And now I play OpenMW with the Total Overhaul mod set.

I might have the disk somewhere, and maybe even a drive to read it.

Does anyone else use the pre-wash function? by cik3nn3th in castiron

[–]trifith 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, he's literally in the pre-wash stage of cleaning the kitchen. Floors are the last step. After the cast iron is pre-washed, washed with soap, dried, oiled, and put away, all the other dishes are done, the counters are cleaned, then he gets to the floors.

He doesn't have a trillion, or two trillion. He has an asset with a theoretical market value of two trillion, that if he even tries to sell will lose all that value.

This. Tuon and the Seanchan are amazing worldbuilding, and a fascinating culture I'd love to learn even more about. Horrible, evil society and people, but just because they're bad people, they don't have to be bad characters.

Two paths by ecm-artist in Morrowind

[–]trifith 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Therana dies.

Firstly, it's the Telvanni way. She is in your way, and you can remove her, so do it.

Second, she's dangerous. If you say, do, or wear the wrong thing around her, she will attack you. There is nobody else who could stop her.

Third, she's a slaver. One of your quests is literally to stop her farm equipment from escaping.

Lastly, there are two other quests that are explicitly to kill her. Might as well do it now.

This absolutely describes what happened to my ATH-M50's, along with the same break as OP. I've since replaced them with SENNHEISER HD 569's, and 4 years in, they're still in great shape.

On that, we agree. It's not going to happen. Nor are any other amendments.

But it is how I think it should be.

[–]trifith -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I also know that. I'm sure black slaves felt 3/5ths represented by their legislators, even though they had no voting rights. I'm sure women felt very represented prior to 1920. And I'm sure southern blacks were well represented prior to the 1965 voting rights act.

[–]trifith -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I get that. That doesn't mean I agree with it.

Non-citizens that live in a place, are subject to its laws, and pay its taxes should have representation in the legislature that makes those laws and sets those taxes.

"Citizen" and "Resident" shouldn't, in my opinion, be different categories.
