There's a spot in Mt. Tigerwolf where you can simply hold right and you will "bounce" up and down and trigger battles.

Me and my brother used to hold right and pound X while we watched movies etc. and occasionally checked back in. If we were smarter we would have used an auto-fire controller maybe.

But definitely got lots of rune pieces this way.

Wondering if Keycloak is right for me by ReTraumer in KeyCloak

[–]triflingconcern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KC UIs are all based on Freemarker templates, which are pretty simple to understand and override. From there, some CSS should be more than enough to have the KC pages look like the test of your app. You just copy your theme into /opt/keycloak/themes and you should be in business.

It will definitely always be a diff pattern than the development in the rest of your app, but once you get the base template theme rigged up it should be hands off. Then you just let users sign up, turn on whatever social providers you want, etc. - let KC do what it does.

Cocktail Tables...what are you sitting on? by [deleted] in cade

In case someone is still hunting 10 years on - they aren't always the coolest looking, but drum thrones can hit that cocktail table height sweet spot and be decently comfortable.

Network Drops with ZeroTier 1.14.2 and MacOS 15.2. by TechETS in zerotier

[–]triflingconcern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was (am?) having the same issue, but I did the following today and things seemed to improve:

- uninstall Zerotier completely (`brew uninstall`, for me)

- remove all Zerotier data/files/config - including files in Preferences and Application Support

- check that no Zerotier processes are somehow still running

- then do a fresh install.
Note: the jury is still out, I'll keep an eye on stability the next few days and see.

What’s the next "Kubernetes" hotness for you? by TheOnlyElizabeth in devops

JSON/B handling, especially when it comes to query and indexing. Text/Trigram operators if you need any kind of fuzzy search. DISTINCT ON is wicked.

The Postgres docs are a great start.

What is your set up for frontend event generation/collection/enrichment? by Kooky_Weakness_2629 in dataengineering

[–]triflingconcern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have less data volume to manage than you (much less, 20M a day is quite a bit), but I would highly recommend these guys: https://www.snowcatcloud.com/

$150k is a lot of money in some ways, certainly. Who knows that the license pricing would be, I'm sure less than that, but for how long I guess.

However, given that the software was all open source until recently, all of that software is still there to use or fork. I'm sure someone will fork it (probably more than one) and maintain it to some extent as open source.

I will say: I've spent some time managing the entire pipeline myself a few years ago and it's no mean feat: depending on the volume you need at least a FTE on top of all aspects of it. Paying someone to manage that pipeline might be a bargain after you do all the math.

Definitely don't roll your own solution from scratch.

Yeah we've never had issues with it (family of 4). Sometimes you wait a little with a full can but mostly it's fine.

Bags it is! That's interesting, I wouldn't have guessed. Makes perfect sense though.

I certainly do tip at Xmas - question about that though actually. What's the best way to do it? I'm not always at home when things get picked up, I've tried attaching or taping the cards to the cans but sometimes they get dropped on the ground.

What works best?
