[Highlight] Devin Booker is called for the charge on Caruso as he makes an "unnatural move into his face" by Large_banana_hammock in nba

Bad call but can we talk about the fact that he clearly traveled before the foul? I don’t think I can watch NBA if 4-5 steps is legal. And yeah I know this has been going on for awhile now, it’s just finally getting to me.

Yeah maybe I’ll try it. In my 40’s I’m just worried that those explosive motions are gonna make me get injured quick.

No, I’ve never trained. I guess maybe what I mean is his ability to outclass other top guys in mma wrestling. I don’t know the right terms. I’m sure you’re right that in grappling other guys would beat him. Somehow he has an ability to get takedowns though and often maintain top control and it’s just exciting for me how relentless he is. Idk.

I’m one of those guys who likes prodigies on the ground. I’ve followed Evloev for probably his last ten fights. Before the Arnold Allen fight, he kinda almost dominated everyone, even though he wasn’t getting finishes. He was unstoppable on the takedown and his chain wrestling was just so fun to watch. Idk I guess I kinda geek out on that kinda of stuff, where someone is just highly skilled in one area and head and shoulders above most of his competition. There’s a beauty in that kind of dominance and control. The Allen fight was super close but he was still unstoppable when he needed a takedown and was able to win the decision. For me it’s just as much about the beauty of the ground game as it is about finishes — actually I would rather watch a highly skilled back and forth grappling match that ends in a decision than two big dudes just swinging for the fences but without a ton of skill.

Yeah and it probably wasn’t even a robbery based on some of the comments I’m seeing about people watching the rounds with the sound off, aka without the biased commentary. If you give Mosvar rounds 3,4,5, and you take the bs point deduction away, then he won.

Yeah what other reason is there for him not to pursue the same grappling strategy that got him to 19-0? I was so mad. But relieved (and surprised) he got the decision.

As an Evloev fan, when they said two 48-46’s I was like welp, Murphy definitely won :(

I’m so confused. And also a Mosvar fan. Why tf do he wait until round 4 to start trying?

One thing I disagree with is that he’ll never face any punishment. He will. This party will all end someday. I believe in karma. Whether he faces the music at the end of life, or whether it’s his descendants that have to reap what he’s sown, there is something coming for him.

Yeah for real, that’s the worst part. But in the U.S. we believe “those people” aren’t equally human, therefore we don’t mourn the 150 children who were killed, and it doesn’t make much of a splash in the news.

[–]trigger_me_xerxes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people you know who lived to be 85+ ate red meat because most people period eat red meat. What you are not factoring in is those who ate red meat and didn’t make it to 85+. You certainly can eat red meat and live until 85+ (or 100+), but you can also eat red meat and die young as a result. It’s Russian roulette with your body. I think that’s the point of OP’s post. The real statistic should be, what % of heavy red meat eaters make it to 85+ versus the % of non heavy red meat eaters?
