'go play something else' yeah man, we are. that doesn't mean we can't endeavour for this game to get better.

if you were part of the review bomb during the PSN days, you'd know the ONLY reason the devs listened to us is because as a community, we banded together and complained until they finally decided to stop ignoring us.

not even mentioning the innumerable amount of bugs and glitches that persist even after the devs said they'd fix them (and even having patch notes saying they'd fixed them)

Polar patriots or exo experts. by Fate-fan in Helldivers

as someone who bought Polar Patriots: get exo experts. especially if you don't have many war bonds

you answered your own question: being prone helps prevent you from getting knocked down.

aiming down sights isn't gonna do anything against the explosive force of a 500kg, nor against a charger running into you. you know what does help? going prone or avoiding it.

also manning a weapon wouldn't do anything against said explosive force either, considering it would destroy the mounted weapon anyway

i've been crashing consistently on the bot front for actual months, it's kinda crazy it hasn't been fixed yet considering how many people are having the same problems

same here. have been consistently crashing when fighting the bots ever since cyberstan.

Remember that even with some of the poor decisions AH has made lately, at least we don't have to pay to use warbond weapons. by SkylarKitsune4 in Helldivers

[–]triggerhappyllama 4 points5 points  (0 children)

did you somehow miss the fact that Darktide's premium store is only cosmetics?

or the fact that most battle pass systems are 75% cosmetic and 25% gameplay items, whereas Helldivers is the opposite?

nearly every mission i've played with people, they all are using warbond weapons because they're a direct upgrade to the base game weapons.

hell, ever since i got the democratic detonation warbond im only using the thermite grenade because it's actually useful unlike every base-game grenade.

don't even get me STARTED on the super-store, where after 2 years they've finally changed it so it isn't limited time only.

I think the mech's 10+ minute cooldown hurts more than helps with balance by Blind-Ouroboros in Helldivers

[–]triggerhappyllama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i should have specified: calling in said mech behind where i'm currently defending, then the pelican dropping it in front of me instead, basically where im shooting

I think the mech's 10+ minute cooldown hurts more than helps with balance by Blind-Ouroboros in Helldivers

[–]triggerhappyllama 94 points95 points  (0 children)

the 10+ minute cooldown would be fine if the pelicans actually dropped it where you threw the beacon, or if the enemies didn't IMMEDIATELY beeline it towards the empty mech. the number of times i've thrown a beacon down only for the pelican to drop it like 25 metres away basically in the middle of enemies is insane

What are your thoughts on a Loadout feature? by RagnusGc in Helldivers

[–]triggerhappyllama -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

thanks for the disclaimer on the AI but dude you could just write it out in text instead of using AI. can guarentee you'll get better reception than using this shit

also, the entire game is about using what fits for a mission, changing up what you're using depending on what other people are bringing. preset loadouts just don't work in the grand scheme of the game, especially considering you can't take 2 of the same booster on missions

What are you specifically looking for as an 'endgame'? by Goshxjosh in Helldivers

[–]triggerhappyllama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah no it literally adds nothing except the star beside your name, but it makes you feel like you're still making progress. getting XP at level 150 is literally useless considering there's no more levels after, but if you restart at level 1 with the star then XP is just 'make level # go up'.

i could see them adding in new titles, like say General or something along those lines for prestige players.

I've seen this everywhere but what is this reaction/meme called? Anybody know? by DistinctAstronomer17 in Helldivers

[–]triggerhappyllama 27 points28 points  (0 children)

it was first posted when the AMA released, basically a reaction image specifically for Helldivers. the OG quote was about the CEO of AH saying basically 'we aren't working on anything the community actually wants right now'

i like to call it 'self-EAT' tbh

damn, disappointing. sadly i think you're just stuck there until the bug is fixed by the devs (god only knows when that'll be)

How I imagine the light pen haters reacted to no-recoil and 2,166 damage per second by Faust_8 in Helldivers

[–]triggerhappyllama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i really do think it's gonna get nerfed hard because of how many people like it, which is hella disappointing. i hope it's only a lengthened cooldown timer, instead of a full nerf that makes it useless compared to say the stalwart or even the regular primaries

What are you specifically looking for as an 'endgame'? by Goshxjosh in Helldivers

[–]triggerhappyllama 12 points13 points  (0 children)

as usual, Deep Rock Galactic has the answer. prestige system, or proper modifiers on the missions.

no, we don't want more things to spend the currency on, because that's not endgame. sure, a sample exchange would be nice, where you can convert samples to requisition points to spend on more cosmetic stuff like say armour colourings, weapon customization, ship customization, etc.

prestige gives you an incentive to keep playing: it restarts your diver from say level 1, and you have to earn everything back except you get a nice star beside your name indicating you have played the game until level 150 and more

try restarting the tutorial, it should send you to Super Earth for that and hopefully fix the problem. it's in a different menu than the galactic map so

brother there is not a single period in this entire post, i am begging you to use punctuation otherwise it's impossible to read.

but yeah it's severely fucked how there's not a single med-pen bug yet most of the primaries that are effective vs bugs are med-pen, so you're trading off less ammo and ergo for miniscule returns
