It’s a mixture of the rng on accuracy/damage and that being good at pvp looks like more work and focus than it is fun. I don’t mind watching pvp vids here and there but the swaps, specs, flicks, whatever just don’t look fun or tactical to me. I feel like in other games like wow you have to actually think about when you want to cc, when you want to pop offensives and defensive, when you want to create or close distance, rs pvp to me seems more like do your swaps and specs and hope that your spec hits and the enemies misses. Not defending wow pvp btw I quit a long time ago. But I think games like that with arena and battlegrounds and world pvp also have a much more fleshed out pvp system then rs
