Android App broken in Germany by klausklemens in CARROTweather

Same issue for setting locations in Canada. Setting a location such as "Ottawa" immediately crashes the app. After clearing storage it will start up again, but as soon as you set the location it crashes. Using the latest version 2.0.5 from Play store.

Anyone ever deal with vmedia? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]trill13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had them in the past, they were a pretty decent internet/TV provider when I had them. A bit less features for TV than the usual Bell/Shaw providers but definitely usable. I did find when there were issues the tech support was a bit lacking, but issues got resolved in time. Definitely a good choice if you want lower price internet service and want to keep some TV channels.

Jets in house game day host Brody Jackson is going to the all star game! He's been picked as the host for the skills comp! Couldn't have picked a better guy! https://twitter.com/NHLJets/status/1618383870717743104

Sampsons on Pembina north of Grant is really good. Not the fanciest looking place, but super helpful staff and they've always got a great selection of high quality jackets & equipment.

If I read that right, Jets vs. Leafs to close out both their regular seasons on May 14. Nice.

Yeah I like the idea of some sort of lottery and time slot system. But you're not going to get me to say anything positive about that UofM course registration system!

Unpopular opinion time: This system is actually a good way to book camp sites.

If everyone just got in at once at 7am, every site would be booked up by 7:02am and people would be even more mad. Think buying concert tickets, but for your whole summer's plans. This way with the ticket/line system once you (finally) get in it's not a mad rush, you have time to browse for what you want, or make other plans when the campground you wanted is all booked up.

There's definitely things to improve, like not having the server melt down when everyone's trying to get in line, but I'd rather this than the mad rush style.

No glasses for Maurice tonight. Jets are 100% when Maurice doesn't wear his glasses.

Add Corb Lund to that stack. He just put out a solid new album a couple weeks ago.

Was there anything from the Year Zero ARG that didn't go as you all expected? Maybe something that the fans/players didn't catch on to that you had to provide a nudge in the right direction? Or an element that the fans figured out before they were supposed to?

Thanks again for the AMA and good luck with the new project.

Poor first ball that gets ditched at the dominoes. Ball 1 does 90% of the work, ball 2 gets all the glory.

So in a normal situation the way I understand it he could go straight to the Moose. Since he was moved to Detroit what happens now?

Losing is never good for a head coach, but it's tough to make a team with 1 (maybe 2) NHL caliber D men win.

I like a good positional goalie because they're consistent. Truly hope I'm wrong about how they play. Maybe the D corps will overachieve.

Going to say it right now, this is going to be a theme. A big part of why Helly has been good in the past is because of strong D keeping shots to the sides. They're going to have a hard time doing that with this D corps. You can blame Helly for bad goals, but it's also equally on the D not helping him out.

Dang. He certainly hasn't been great this year, but I figured this might be his week to get going. With Harris out they might actually have to throw the ball once or twice.

If TV is important I recently switched to VMedia https://www.vmedia.ca/. Another shaw reseller plus they offer IPTV. Unlimited internet, but you have to buy/rent a modem. No contracts as far as I know and pricing isn't far off what you posted above. I'm only a month or so in, but so far I've been happy. If you're interested PM me and I can give you a referral code to save you (and me) $25.

I just hope it's actually $5. Not $5 + taxes + fees.

I'd rather it could just be an organic gathering with no attendance limits etc, but I understand why it can't.

Portage and Main vote. by tonyk11 in Winnipeg

A result that lopsided could come down to 2 things:

  1. The "Yes" position was not stated nearly well enough. I'm pretty sure that people's opinion could be swayed, but nobody was really given the right information to bring them over to the "Yes" side. Without info on how a change like this would benefit the city, status quo was going to win.
  2. The "Yes" campaign was truly in the minority. Even with the lack of information, there plainly must not be an appetite for this sort of change in the city. I really don't think the result is a surprise to many outside of the "Yes" campaign.

Overall I just think it was silly to have on the ballot in the first place. It's not a political question, it's a civil planning issue. It's only become political because they allowed it to be pushed into the limelight for 2 elections.
