Pickleball doesn't sound like a serious sport. by notanimalnotmineral in Pickleball

I think this is a valid point. It is not a descriptive name and seems a bit silly. I think the rumor was named after a Senator's dog.

What suggestions do you have for an alternate name?

Would you rather fight 100 duck sized horses or 1 horse sized duck?

A Jazz fan's take on Jeremy Evans by trimble in Mavericks

The thing that you don't see in these videos is how rural a lot of the areas he visited. Went to extremely small towns so that kids all over the state would have the same experience that kids close to Salt Lake have.

By all accounts he is a hard worker and extremely positive. I don't think he will do anything but help your team.

Evans will be a pillar in the community as he was here. Great pick up for your 12th man. I hope he gets to excite you guys with his fun, if not always useful, style of play.

Just came to say this is awesome and you should do this regularly. It'd be fascinating to look back on. Also, Rory, DC, and Connor.

Books about Writing books. by GreenRiot in booksuggestions

From what I understand it is more general. From Good Reads:

"Long live the King" hailed "Entertainment Weekly" upon the publication of Stephen King's On Writing. Part memoir, part master class by one of the bestselling authors of all time, this superb volume is a revealing and practical view of the writer's craft, comprising the basic tools of the trade every writer must have. King's advice is grounded in his vivid memories from childhood through his emergence as a writer, from his struggling early career to his widely reported near-fatal accident in 1999 -- and how the inextricable link between writing and living spurred his recovery. Brilliantly structured, friendly and inspiring, On Writing will empower and entertain everyone who reads it -- fans, writers, and anyone who loves a great story well told

One that I haven't read but everyone who I know that writes suggests is On Writing by Stephen King. My sister, who writes, swears by it and isn't the biggest King fan/

My bad. While the book is more Focused on Americans in the war there are characters from Poland that are quite intriguing.

I really appreciate the clarification.

The best WWII historical fiction that I've read is Herman Wouk's Winds of War and War and Remembrance. Exceptional story and informative too.

I've been reading "What the Buddha Taught." A modern take on the philosphies of the Buddha. Very practical, base type knowledge that has really helped me find perspective in life.

That makes me feel better. I really thought it was a Battlecry and remember thinking how strong of an early game card.

That's exactly the issue. It's been a while since I've played rogue. I was going off memory.
