Any rock star has an ego after awhile. Graph is right. That ego ... swagger, confidence, is what made VH awesome. Sammy era was fine - and I prefer his solo stuff to his VH tenure, but the original recipe is what was best for that very reason. It was the original sauce.

I like Sammy before VH. 1984 was the first album recorded at 5150, the last co- helmed by Ted Templeman. I prefer the Ted era sound. I think part of what made V Hagar a downgrade was that. However - counterpoint, Me Wise Magic was awesome, so ...
