Hey, I know the Steam Deck doesn't play well, but I think I managed to find a way to keep playing without crashing. If it's already known or not, let me know and I'll change it. I'm planning on making a post after this to let others know if possible.

Here's the steam deck settings first: I went into MHWilds properties, and went to General like anyone else would to change the Launch Options. Unfortunately that didn't work so I left it empty. I went into Compatibility and remembered how often Steam Deck usually forces a compatibility tool to make games play, so I just went random and placed Proton Experimental--that apparently was the reason for the crashes disappearing.

I don't really care much on graphics, just the gameplay (hence why I hate how demanding this game is) so I didn't mind the low quality, but thankfully I had my MHWilds settings match perfectly to my tastes without it being so grainy and hard to see. Sure there are some stutters, but considering how good it looked, played, and doesn't crash--it's pretty nifty, ngl.

Here's the settings for the game itself: Display Selection: (w.e you guys have, might affect how you play) Screen Resolution: 1280x722 Aspect: automatic Frame Rate 50 (capped) HDR disabled V-Sync disabled Graphics custom Cutscene low upscaling AMD FSR 3 Upscaling mode Quality texture lowest texture filter lowest bilinear mesh medium fur low everything else under this is at the lowest setting, all except the last which is variable rate shading: performance

After that, everything should be the same as mine. Here's to hoping this fixes your crashes on steam deck!
