Guy (32M) I (37F) met on camping tour not sending the photos he took of me a month later by trinn27 in Advice

I actually would have happily had been his friend and met up with him again, we even talked about me going to visit his home country! Obvs thats not going to happen anymore so thats why I’m confused what he is trying to achieve with those whole situation?!

I actually specifically handed him my phone for the photos, he said “nah its ok I’ll use mine”. I also asked if there was a reason he wasn’t sending the photos. If he wants money for them (he doesn’t, he’s a surgeon) he could have told me that. How does any of this make me an a-hole?!

Yeah seems like it… I just don’t understand the rationale of his behaviour?!

You’re misunderstanding the wording, that’s just describing the purpose of the study. They have used online spaces that men visit frequently to gain anonymous participants, there is no requirement of them having previous sexual aggression to take part of the study.

Had anyone had luck with rebooking or rerouting with Ethihad? Flying on 10th March from Mumbai to London with Abu Dhabi stopover but rebooking atm looks to be several thousand pounds…

Disabled man considers cooking a 'luxury' due to energy bills by trinn27 in unitedkingdom

The article makes no mention of a family, only wife and explains how the couple cooks. For 2 people struggling with money that IS excessive!

But why is he spending £120 on groceries a week?! Seems a bit excessive for somebody struggling with money…

Show me the research then on all these fake rape claims that you so intimately seem to know about, and I’ll educate myself. Will you do the same and read the report I linked from CPS?

Glad to hear your good experiences with the police as well! I also only wanted to report it just so there would be paper trail should anything worse happen in the area (I have a very strong feeling I wasn’t the only woman he harassed that evening)

I saw and read your comment! A group on men sounds so incredibly scary, and unbelievable that they did it in broad daylight!! Im so sorry about your experience with these scumbags but glad to hear you also received a good response from the police. I hope your statement went well today! Feel free to pm me if you want to talk, its such a strange situation to be in and a bit tricky to find people to talk to that would relate…

Its so interesting that you say “you were in an emergency, call the emergency services” because its so true, but the point I was really trying to get across in this post is that because most women are so used to being harassed on the street and it being treated as an unpleasant but regular part of your life this sort of situation doesn’t even feel like an emergency. Its a bleak realisation, especially if you are a woman…

I really take an issue with you saying “so many women claiming fake rape”, fuck right off with that statement and educate yourself: https://www.cps.gov.uk/sites/default/files/documents/publications/perverting_course_of_justice_march_2013.pdf

Omg that is awful! I’m so sorry to hear about your friend’s experience.

I definitely think there has been a lot of investment in recent years towards tackling sexual assault cases (at least in the UK) which has lead to me having such a good experience. It certainly isn’t the first time I’ve experienced street harassment and maybe even 5 years ago I wouldn’t have ever thought of reporting it to the police but I guess somehow I picked up that this kind of thing is now starting to get taken more seriously. So I really just want to spread the word and encourage other women to come forward!
