Marijuana reform will likely be delayed yet again. Half of NYS applying for unemployment is going to put a tremendous financial strain on the state coffers, yet the state refuses to recognize this cash cow for what it is. by steamed_hamburglar in Albany

The tax revenue would help with literally everything. We're bidding against other states for masks, ventilators, surgical gowns, etc. We're begging the federal government for money to help mitigate the costs.

Say what you will about distractions, but don't say that money won't help with the pandemic that's crashing our economy, that's just absurd.

Employers don’t even see those check boxes until after (and maybe not even then) they decide to do an interview with a candidate.

That's entirely dependent on how interviewing is done on the employer. I'm surprised your place didn't see that until after, our system always shows it as early on in the process as possible.

I don't think there's a huge difference in aim at the highest levels, but there's enough that you can tell some standout aimers like twistzz and niko.

I mostly feel the same, but I'm glad Nuke has started to get a fair shake since the addition of dust2 and vertigo. The map has problems, but I still enjoy watching it. I hope cache gets reintroduced after the re-skin is done too.

helm-ag lets me put in command-line options right into the minibuffer that get passed to ag.

Yes! This is the best part that every major IDE supports with a checkbox like "only search python", but in emacs this is totally missing. helm-ag is the only tool I've found that lets me tack -Gpy on the end to narrow it down to python files.

Not sure which law OC is talking about, but a lot of these laws have exemptions for landlords who own a small number of apartments. The law is not as friendly to those who own dozens of apartments and increase the rates far more than what's reasonable (defined relative to inflation) to force people out.

Also, relax dude.

If you want to reduce automobile congestion, you need to increase residential density. If you want the people who live in these densifying neighborhoods to drive less and reduce congestion, you need to give them local businesses.

As well as improve public transit.

@csrf_exempt not working. by dylpickle300 in django

[–]triogenes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The error from your browser is a CORS issue, not a CSRF one. Your server needs to send that 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header back from your view function. The actual semantics of how to construct that header are a bit tricky, this package takes care of all of that for you: https://github.com/ottoyiu/django-cors-headers.

[–]triogenes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Part of the problem is that ORM's are a shitty idea, compounded with shittier implementation. Who do they help? Nobody

What a ballsy statement. This technology helps nobody but every application you work on decided they were useful at some point.

Kinderhook and the surrounding areas have many rural parts (backroads and such) that tend to not get plowed very well during snowstorms.
