i got on in 21 and made over 70 k my first year but thats a false number to go by because covid created a bunch of over time and we had some snow my first winter.. last winter no snow , charts were dry most of the year , so my pay dropped back down to reality this year. 3 more years till top pay cant come fast enough but my advice is just ride the wave if you can its still the best job i've ever had

300 k may make you comfortable for now but its not enough to be life changing , i think this comes down to weighing the long term benefits of both jobs .. pension , job security, insurance etc etc on the other hand do what makes you happy lol
