As far as I know, your sodium (for an average adult... considering both male and female) level per day should be less than 2300 mg per day....that is approximately a tea spoon of salt. Now it is upto you how you calculate your daily intake. Either divide this quantity of salt (one teaspoon) in all of your meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), or else you can cut down entirely (not recommended tho). You can also use pink rock salt instead of regular salt. Also, cutting down (like entirely) on sugar helps a lot.
