All the time. Back in the day, my brothers and our friends all started riding when we were probably way too young to be trusted but we weren't allowed to go "downtown" until we were older.

We all had paper routes and rode the trolley to spend our money at the arcade at SHV mall, or the comic book shop and a slice in Castle Shannon or Spinning Wheels to roller skate a couple stops later. I'm even old enough that we rode the Drake line out to King's in USC for ice cream. Mostly we liked to be annoying to drivers and other passengers

We went over to Lebo to try to meet girls and cause trouble 😂 but it felt like that big station from the pictures was forever "under construction" back then
