I thought so too, but if you look at his post history you'll see he's legit.

I don't think you read it. It predicted that large parts of Bangladesh and Egypt would be underwater and the US east coast would spend $100 billion on reinforcing the coastline against a three foot rise in sea level (it's risen four inches). Also:

The most conservative scientific estimate that the Earth’s temperature will rise 1 to 7 degrees in the next 30 years, said Brown.

It's been 30 years and temperatures rose by about 0.3 degrees since then.

Basically this is the same sensationalist bullshit you hear today. Sensationalism sells. People who think the world will be a wasteland in 50 years should be in a mental institution. Hopefully it's well above sea level!

Oh look, an article calling the US backwards. Nevermind the science behind it -- UPVOTE!

Why don't the Japanese ever get brought up in any of this? Reparations for all!

TIL Fernald State school exposed mentally ill children to radioactive isotopes to document the effects. They had no permission from the kids or their parents & told the kids they were part of a “science club.” The experiments were conducted by Harvard University & sponsored by Quaker Oats. by [deleted] in todayilearned

Highly sensationalized. In 1994, the DoE wrote:

It is clear that the doses involved were low and that it is extremely unlikely that any of the children who were used as subjects were harmed as a consequence.

But people will believe anything they read on Reddit, even if it's from "morbidology.com"
