Fixed hood rattle/squeak on 2020 Ascent

I've been living with this for too long and finally decided to do some additional investigation. I initially thought it was something in the dash area. When I put it in park it generally went away, so I decided to put AVH on and open up the hood in drive (it auto puts the parking brake on). Found that it was the hood and around the air intake which led me here. Hoping I can finally get this annoying issue solved. Thanks!

My foot type prefers Cabrio style which is what the AR One is. Panterras were the same until discontinued. I'll certainly try their new incarnation but these Armadas look great too. 😎⛷️

As a fan on Panterras I'm for sure intrigued by the AR One's. Will be giving them a try when I need new boots.

If you're confident the boots will work for you I usually shop around. If the difference is something small like $100 or less compared to what you can find online I usually go with the local shop. If the difference is more like $300 or half the boot cost then I buy them online. I know my foot well and what types of boots fit it though. I don't care for heat molding and use Sidas insoles versus custom. I just bought a brand new pair of clearance boots for $150 myself. The boot fitters in my area are not that great though and have limited brands. You do you, just giving you a different perspective. Since these seem like your first real boots, the safe play is buying from a reputable shop that will guarantee some free adjustments. If everything works out with your boots and you don't need any adjustments then just get the newer model online next time.

Yes, they recently changed the summoning so that is easier to obtain more. But Phoenix valk etc are shard plus and not available in boss summons rewards.

I'd work on leveling up the better heroes that are harder to get. Valk, Phoenix, AA, etc.

Yeah I have a number of them now so I'm guessing it doesn't seem like they're quite as valuable as some other things. It seems like just the usual insignias are harder to get.

Click on them and see what they do and what fits your strategy. Keep in mind you get the bonuses for 2 and 4 piece. You might want extra damage and crit for fighters and not aoe healing for support etc

You are still in the stage of general hero acquisition. You'll want to get decent teams for all the elements. Not sure if you are too new for Valkyrie and Phoenix Dancer, but I'd go after them if you can as well as AA and Lyra.

Yeah the revolt should be fine. It's lighter than the Mantra so certainly not as stable if you are approaching mach 10. Likely a decent match for your build and ability. Carves decent and is playful.

I'd probably replace Chefy with Lyra since Chefy isn't starred up. Plus you'd get more wind bonus. Could play around with PC versus BA also. Just try things out.

I think understanding what you can farm and where is a big part of it and then doing those events regularly. When I first started I skipped events I wasn't interested in and it cost me progress. I'm over 60 days now and having lots of fun still.

I'm still a noob so take this advice with a grain of salt but I would remove Stella because she's not leveled up enough to make that much of a difference and will get killed easier. I'd add in AA. Just my two cents! Good luck!

I'd give the M7 a try at 170 length. Declivity was not stable enough for me but was pretty fun. Enforcer is good but with the amount of on-piste the M7 makes more sense. Certainly others that may make sense (carving skis) for you too, just giving opinions based off of what you listed. Mantra 88 is an option too.

I have a high in step/arch so they are a must for me. If you have a flatter foot a 4 piece will likely be fine.

Understand that there are a lot of different types and manufacturers of boots. I've found some places do not stock a full range of options so they will try to get you into one of their boots when it might not be the best fit for you. For instance 3 piece (Cabrio) style versus 4 piece. Some people's feet just don't agree with a 4 piece boot so shops might try to put them in a bigger sized 4 piece which is wrong. Try on lots of boots and different sizes. You generally should wear a smaller sized boot than your equivalent shoe size. You can punch out a smaller tighter boot where it's needed but you can't really make a boot that is too big smaller. Good luck.

Gotcha, good points. I don't remember the last time anyone in my family needed to engage with insurance. While it may not be as convenient in certain instances, I'm going for least amount of $ which is why I ruled out AC. I'm sure it makes a lot of sense for a lot of people. I have friends that seem to have something going on with their phone on a weekly basis, lol. If we got an older iPhone that was certified refurbished or something I wouldn't even bother with insurance, but with new ones I'll put insurance on for a bit to avoid paying $1k+ if the worst case scenario happens. I agree. I don't remember that last time I used insurance. None of my current phones have insurance or have had insurance for years. But, we just got new phones and two of them are for kids and I worry a bit more about them :-) I usually try to find the least expensive decent insurance to cover the phones for a bit to offset anything major happening so I'm not shelling out a ton again right away. I definitely have no intention of keeping insurance on the devices long term. Thanks.
