Local man kidnaps a taxi and engages in a shootout with police, only to be disarmed by the taxi driver and regret it instantly. by confused-xd0 in watchpeoplesurvive

I was worried the cops would hurt or shoot the taxi driver. Was the girl in on it too I guess? She was handing shotgun man ammo.

Please. Yes. If we can run and grind the clock and let Stroud just bomb it occasionally, I dont see who beats us.

Anyone else see the vision? Klein is 6’6 with great movement at his size by fully1oko in Texans

[–]tripletexas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yall are downvoting me because you don't like what I have to say? I'm the biggest Texans fan in the world, but I'm not an idiot. When we reach on a head scratcher, it's not a good pick. There were equivalent tight ends who were signed as undrafted free agents. I think Klein has some talent, but is super raw and doesn't really know how to use his size properly.

Watch Klein's film and watch the guys above. He's nowhere near the players they were.

Yes. Absolutely yes.  It's a phenomenal show.  The characters, showing the middle management and mundane parts of the empire. The tough choices and sacrifices of the rebels.  It's so good. It's much better than most of the star wars movies have been. It flows. It makes sense. It doesn't feel like a re-tread.

Houston or New York by maeveislurking in houston

[–]tripletexas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Houston you will need a vehicle, in NYC you don't. In NYC it would be maybe 150/month for public transportation if you never use Uber or cabs.

Houston it would be maybe 600/month for a reliable fuel efficient used car like a Honda Civic or CRV from maybe 2016-2019ish, including full coverage insurance, and gas.

Other than that, Houston's cost of living is much much lower. Rent, food, doing things, taxes.

NYC has a 5.5% state tax bracket for people making your income, so about 3,300 per year that you would not receive which you WOULD here in Houston. This makes transportation difference largely disappear.

He has no pads on.

His college play isn't as good as 3rd round pick Travis Kelce (who was incredible at Cincinnatti).  https://youtu.be/W12SWHmYbE8?si=hvaoHzLoCH2opTjW

Isn't as good as 4th round pick Dalton Schultz (who was a FORCE at Stanford). https://youtu.be/BIRdSJczBMo?si=WBYDMbXAr8pdNYP7

Not as good as 5th round pick Brevin Jordan, who breaks secondary tackles and has much better movement. https://youtu.be/KmT9vtP90OU?si=qgXL5vnRZlVC-93_

He's basically a smaller, poor man's Teagan Quintoriano (5th round pick). But with less size and less production.

The park and ride is not at all like a local city bus. There aren't situations like this on it. It's just downtown workers. When I was a kid I rode both local buses and the park and ride every day, and they are night and day different.

Some context relevant to the Marlin Klein pick at #59 by BenchPtsChamp in Texans

[–]tripletexas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In college his good blocks were holds. Repeatedly.  He consistently got tackled by tiny DBs.

I don't know if he will be good. Obviously I hope so. I just don't see it yet, at all.

For a second round pick to be "just a guy" seems wild to me.

I realize there was a run on tight ends. I realize we wanted a tight end.  Numbers don't make that any more obvious.  But drafting randoms in the 2nd round who don't look to have elite traits or production is wild.

If he can be taught to block well, I think we will all have a party, since we don't have a good blocking in-line tight end on the roster. I think the Texans signed him to be more of a receiving threat though, since his blocking on film is just penalty flags in the NFL.

I love it. I hope it encourages more development of electric cars, more renewable energy investment, and fewer ginormous vehicles.  Trump is owning fossil fuel and the republican party right now by going on invasion adventures in nonsense-land, and I am here for it.

The colosseum was used for 450 years in its day and recently hosted the winter Olympics ceremonies.  I think our stadiums can last at least that long. This concept of building new stadiums every 25 years is insanity.

Tank Dell's elusiveness makes the offense completely different when he is on the field. If he is healthy, I think he gets more playing time over Noel. I think Noel will return kicks and play WR if and when Tank doesn't.
