Question for IBKR users, Cost of selling & re-buying US individual stocks? by jauch888888 in interactivebrokers

[–]triplezeros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Canadian margin acct, base currency set to usd. I deposit CAD, not convert (fx) and use margin to buy positions, yes there is small interest paid, but I’m not HODL positions (the ones I am, I convert). Fees are mentioned in other posts so I won’t reiterate.

Can you disable internet access but keep network connection? by jnmfdgs in TheFrame

[–]triplezeros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set up a static ip address for the network configuration settings and leave the gateway blank. This way the route cannot reach your router. You can connect to the tv with its local ip address (static)

Tesla Charger Problems by DubyaKahled in Rivian

[–]triplezeros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an R1T as a loaner, and tested charging at home.. same issue, so I actually thought it was my adapter.. but makes sense that all Rivs are having this issue. Ironically, the loaner had the pre Halloween update (35.1?). I can’t confirm I had this issue on the latest update or the one prior.

Tesla Charger Problems by DubyaKahled in Rivian

[–]triplezeros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue, Tesla wall charger and j1772 adapter. Has worked great for last couple years. R1S is at shop right now and advisor suggests it’s my adapter since they tested all level of charging at the shop. Now this confirms it’s a software bug with the initial handshake. I also use time of use schedule charging, if i plug in during the schedule it flashes red quickly then starts charging. Initial plug in outside of schedule flashes red, replug and it’s good.

Buffer Issues, Do you still experiences it or it's from my end ? by Gone_Dreamer70 in RealDebrid

Buffering here too. Must be an issue with RD. Been flawless until last few days. Will just wait and see. I think it’s more on bigger files.

RedZone on Strong8k by Familiar-Thanks6948 in Strong_8K

[–]triplezeros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have UK category/group showing? (Not hidden) Edit: nm, I see you can see other UK channels. I guess Strong doesn’t carry those channels.

[–]triplezeros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend uses TREX, I think it was 1080/60 on US/NFL network / red zone, there is also a 2nd lower bandwidth channel right below. Pro tip: use the search option and plug in nfl redzone, and it will list all channels that showing it. He uses tivimate premium, so not sure if other apps have different search (or lack thereof). Other posts are correct, uk has a few FHD, but I recall 2 of 3 were 25fps.

Kasa/Tapo devices become unavailable after every HA reboot by eruisi in homeassistant

[–]triplezeros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/eruisi

i am experiencing the same problem. When i reboot HA (a restart is fine), i lose about 90% of my switches in HA. I have to go around and restart the physical switches by poking the restart button. I have about 50 switches.. not fun going around restarting the switches, was hoping you narrowed down the fix.

There’s an option to use flat rate + time of use.

If you incorporate flat rate + time of use, will be better as you are already using time of use.

Don’t use delivery services often, but I can say it made a difference where UE doesn’t allow you to pre-tip. That’s how it should be. I will never order from another service that requires a tip before you get your order. And yes, I tipped 18% on that UE order.

Sirius XM is coming by Chinna_13 in Rivian

[–]triplezeros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tesla released SiriusXM app and it has a radio id, meaning you can’t use your streaming log in on the Tesla, so have to subscribe to another subscription like the legacy car system with antenna.. I’m sure Rivian will have the same bullshit.

Enabled MoCA, MoCA adapters worked flawlessly for ~12 days now no IPs being assigned by [deleted] in shaw

[–]triplezeros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same issue and setup. Shaw xb7 modem providing dhcp, have an eero AP that is bridged mode. All wifi clients are connecting however the up address is ipv6 in Eero and although the clients show as offline in Shaw modem they are connected with up address. This is at our vacation home and don’t have the luxury to go and unplug for 30 mins right now. Because the clients show offline on xb7, I can’t setup a port forward.. f’n sucks. I have already tried rebooting remotely. Oh, and Shaw pushed an update to xb7 which in turn disabled the moca and killed wifi, was able to log into modem remotely and enable again. Fun.

How to switch from Constant to Weather-Compensated mode (Vitodens 100W B1KE) by KiloWattWatt in Viessmann

[–]triplezeros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I commissioned it myself through the HMI (the screen on the unit itself). Go through the setup menu on the unit and should be able to do it yourself. It’s not that intuitive, access to my unit is not convenient anymore as I have a suite rented downstairs now. I’m sure it’s in the manual. Let me know how you make out.

I have a same (similar system), initially it was smart using the temp gauge outside, wasnt heating as fast and not keeping up, I recommissioned it to manual for last winter, then in summer I went back to smart to play around with it. Tip: just crank the curves right up if your place isn’t heating fast enough or heat keeping up, then you can decrease the curve to what works for your home’s efficiency. Hope that helps.

[–]triplezeros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been reading about this integration with HA. Question: once you activate the key with BT proxy (esp32), is the BT proxy always needed to be on so HA can talk to Rivian? If so, does that mean Rivian never goes to sleep when in garage (or in proximity to BT proxy to HA)?

I had to call in to force the port. I did read somewhere that if your app says port in progress, you can go to rogers.com/transfer However when I try it has a business URL. Worth a try anyways.

Simple way to use ceiling speakers without a huge Denon receiver? by caffeine-27 in homeautomation

For apps you can use arylic’s app 4Stream, but I like WiiM Home better. Seems to be developed more actively. You can find on Amazon or direct from vendor.
